Keep It Safe June 4, 2020

As I sit at home
 day after day
Hoping that this Corona
Will go away.

Knowing that I
 am at high risk
Taking a chance
Would be a tisk tisk.

On top of having asthma
And If I were to catch Corona too,
I surely would be at. death’s doorstep
Without even having a clue.

Although I am tempted
to get on with my life,
playing it safe
for now, just seems right.

As I stay busy at home
Writing a poem a day,
Helps perk me up
and keeps the wishy washies away.

Summer of 2020

As the days grow longer and warmer too
In the Summer of 2020
It reminds me of the past, when we were disease free
And the beaches were good and plenty.

There were no restriction on what we could do
And to travel, you could just jump in your car,
Going for miles without a care
ending up ever so far.

Meeting up with friends, in large groups
No distance restriction heard of,
now we have to keep ten feet apart
And always wearing that glove.

Keeping in touch by phone or skype
So as to keep our nation disease free,
Staying put in our homes
As content as we can be.

So as we slowly get through this epidemic
Try to stay calm and cool,
And do no go out running around
Without your mask, acting like a fool.
