Packing up to go home for the season from camp

My Sunday morning began at 1:00 a.m. by waking up not breathing having an Asma attac. Once I had used my inhaler, I was then able to relax and fall back to sleep. I did so until 5:30. I then watched the Sunday mass. Once I had taken a siezure medication, I then fell back to sleep until 9:30 I then made my bed before going into the main camp. Once I had some fruit with my hot cocoa, I then had  scrambled eggs and toast. Ithen went back into my camp so as to brush my teeth and shave. At 10:30 I then began to stretch. Once I had finished my stroke recovery stretches, I then worked my upper body. At 10:45 I then filled my empty pill containers before taking in some air. At 11:08 I then preceded to do my back stretches before packing up to go home for the fall and winter months. At 12:30 I then had left camp with my mother. We had arrived home at 1:00. The unpacking began. At 1:15 I had started a wash before continuing to unpack the car. At 1:35 I then had lunch. At 1:53 I then put the laundry in the dryer. At 2:00 I then started another load af laundry. I then continued to unpack my things and put them away. At 2:53 I then went back to the laundry room so as to fold another load of laundry. At 3:00 I then put another load of laundry in the dryer. I then went to my bedroom so as to lay down to rest. I slept until 5:15 before getting up to take a shower. I then ate dinner with my mother. Befor pulling up my blog.

Cleaning My Camp

My Saturday morning began at 9:22 a.m. by going into the Maine camp so as to drink my hot cocoa while eating some fruit and fruit dip. AT 10:00 I had folded some napkins while my mother had made me some pancakes for breakfast. Once I had finished eating, at 10:22 I then sat in the recliner so as to ice my foot as the swelling still continues to go down. At 11:00 I then went into my camp so as the brush my teeth before shaving. At 11:20 I then changed the sheets on my bed, thus making it. At 11:50 I then vacuumed. At 12:30 I then went back into the main camp so as to take a break. AT 12:40 I then retunred to my camp so as to dust the furniture. At 1:40  I had taken a shower before laying down to rest. I had slept from 2:00-4:30 before waking. I then pulled up my blog and began to type of my day.

A visit with my primary care doctor

My Friday morning began at 8:30 a.m. by going into the main camp so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. While drinking my hot cocoa. At 8:50 I then had a bowl of cereal with a taosted.  English muffin. Once I had finished eating, I then picked up the kitchen before going back into my camp. Once I had made my bed, I then brushed my teeth and shaved before starting in with my stretching that I have been doing so to help in my stroke revcovery. At 9:50 I then grabbed my weights and began to do my weight exercises so as to work my upper body. At 9:55 I then ended my workout with my back stretches. At 1:06 I then went into the main camp so as to wash my water bottle. I then put ice in it so as to have some cold water. I was back into my camp at 10:15 Once I had put some clean laundry away, I had taken a shower thus getting ready for the rest of my day. Once I had my eye and nose drops in, I had then taken in some air with my inhaler. At 11:10 I then called the pharmacy so as to order a new inhaler. At 11:15 I then filled my empty pill containers for the week ahead. At 11:30 I then cleaned my bathroom before going back into the main camp so as to eat lunch. At 12:10 I then went back into my camp so as to brush my teeth. At 12:30 My mother had then drove me to my doctors appointment. We had arrived at 1:00 for an appointment with my primary care doctor. Once I was checked, the nurse then took me in to take my blood pressure 112 over 74. I was there so as to check my asthma At 1:50 I then left my doctors at 1:55 I then stopped at the pharmacy to get a flue shot. At 2:30 I was back on the road to camp with my mother. We had arrived to camp at 3:00. Ithen went into my camp so as to lay down to rest. I slept from 3:00-5:00 before waking. I then went into the main camp so as to eat dinner. I then retunred to my camp so as to take a shower and get comfortable before pulling up my blog.

Spening two hours with Kala, editing my book

My Thursday mooring began at 5:00 a.m. by getting out of bed so as to do the stretches that have been helping me with stroke recovery. At 5:20 I then focus on my upper body workout. At 5:25 I then ended my workout with my back exercises. At 5:35 I then shaved before taking my shower. Once I was ready for the day, I then went into the main camp so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip while drinking my hot cocoa. After a bowl of cereal and a toasted English muffin, I then retunred to my camp, so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before taking in some air. I then boarded United Wheelchair at 7:15 a.m. I had arrived at WestSide at 9:00 a.m. I was the only client to show up for tai chi group, so Kala and I worked on editing my book. At 10:00 during my rehab session with Kala we continued to edit my book. WOW!!!! Two hours working on my book, we were able to accomplish a lot. We had spent the twenty minutes of our time looking at old blog entry to help in the progress of editing my book.  At 11:00 during my rehab session with Jamie, We had looked on pintrist for new ideas to things that we could work on. At 12:00 United Wheelchair had taken me back to camp. Upon my arrival at 1:10, I had eaten lunch before retunring to my camp so as to brush my teeth and lay down to rest. I had slept from 2:00-5:07. I then went into the main camp so as to eat dinner. After doing so, I then retunred to my camp as to take a shower before pulling up my blog.

Working on my scanning while at Wal-Mart with John

My Wednesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by getting out of bed so as to focus my time on my stretching that has helped in my latest stroke recovery. Once I was loosened up, I then preceded to do my weight exercises. At 5:25, I then began to do my back stretches. Once my morning workout was complete, I then shaved before taking a shower thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 6:00 I then went into the main camp so as to to eat some fruit with fruit dip while drinking my hot coca. After a bowl of cereal with a piece of toast, I then retunred to my camp so as to brush my teeth and to take in some air. United Wheelchair soon arrived to transport me to WestSide Neurorehabilitation. Upon my arrival for 9:00 I had made my way to Nancy’s office for visually impaired group. Today we spoke about the process working with the devision of the blind, we then spoke about shopping strategies while in the grocery store. At 10:00 during a rehab session with John who was covering for Michelle, we had gone to Wal-Mart to purchase some milk and bread for westside. I had worked on scanning while looking for the bread and milk. John then showed me how to use the self check out. Once back at WestSide at 11:00 I had gone to Pryadarshis office mindfullness and meditation. Once we had finished our session, I then met with Steven for case management. We had spoke about how things are going with my therapy at WestSide and where I am at with the Devision of the Blind. Calvin from United Wheelchair arrived at 12:30 so as to bring me to camp. I had arrived there at 2:00 after dropping some other clients off. Once I had eaten my lunch, I then layed down to rest. I had slept from 2:30-4:30 before getting out to go into the main camp to eat dinner. I then retunred to my camp so as to take a shower. I then pulled up my blog and began to type of my day.

Appointment with my new eye doctor, Dr. Henery

My Tuesday morning began at 5:30 a.m. by getting out of bed so as to do the stretches that help loosen my body that have helped during my recovery. I had worked out the best that I could because all of my exercise equipment was at camp. After doing so, I then shaved before taking my shower. I then put in my eye and nose drops before going into the kitchen so as to have a bowl of hot cereal with a piece of toast. Once I had finished eating, I then retunred to my bedroom so as to brush my teeeth and take in some air. At 7:05 I then left the house with my parents for the eye doctor at the optometric associates office. Today will be the first time seeing Dr. Henry. Dr. Beal has retired and has been the only eye doctor I have ever had. After a stop or two along the way, we finally arrived at optometric associates at 8:25. I was first take in so as to read the eye chart. First distance and then up close. I then met with my new eye doctor, Dr. Henry. He had asked how long I had these glasses and once I was checked, he said he was not going to change my script yet because the prism lenses that I use are costly. Next year Dr. Henry said he would do a field test done of my vision. My parents had seen another doctor there who does not specialize in brain injury. At 10:20 we then left for camp. We had stopped a couple of times along the way before arriving at camp at 12:30. I changed into something more comfortabl before eating lunch. At 1:00 I then called United Wheelchair so as to see what time I would be picked up tomorrow. 7:00 a.m. At 1:05 I was then in my camp to brush my teeth before laying down. I had slept from 1:10-4:30 before waking. I then went into the main camp so as to eat dinner with my parents. I then retunred to my camp at 5:03 and took a shower before pulling up my blog.

Writing a poem during news letter group

My Monday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do my stretches that have been helping me in stroke recovery. At 5:20 I then preceded to work my upper body by doing my weight exercises. At 5:26 I then did my back stretches before shaving and taking my shower. At 6:00 I then went into the main camp so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. After doing so, I then had a bowl of hot cereal with a piece of toast. At 6:30 I then retunred to my camp so as to brush my teeth. Once I had put in my eye and nose drops before taking in some air. At 6:45 I did some reading while waiting At 7:00 United Wheelchair had arrived to bring me to WestSide. I had arrived at WestSide at 8:50. I had gone to the conference room at 9:00 for newsletter group. Today I wrote a poem to let clients know about the new client lounge. The client lounge a new room at WestSide, Walk on in If your waning to hide. Are you feeling tired, And the lobby’s to loud, Go to the client lounge, Get way from the crowd.. Enjoy the peacefulness, And tranquility, The client lounge, Is where to be. Stare at the walls, Or read a book, Artwork that’s hanging, take a look. Mesmerized, At the things you see, The client lounge, Is where to be. During the newsletter group, my case manager Steven came in to have me sign a release form so that the devision of the blind and WestSide can share information. At 10:00 I then wrote another artical during my rehab session with Ashly. At 11:00 during bulletin Journel group Jessica had me doing dome writing. At 12:00 I then sat in the lobby for thirty minutes while waiting for my ride. I had arrived at camp at 1:54.  Once I had eaten my lunch, I then packed up the car and my mother and I went home. We had arrived home at 2:10. Once the car was unpacked, I then layed down to rest. I had slep tfrom 2:40-5:10. I then took a shower. Once I had eaten dinner, Ithen Iced my ankle for thirty minutes before pulling up my blog.
