Finding strategies for making participation in groups a little easier.

My Wednesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by getting up to stretch. I then preceded to work my upper body with my weight routine. I then strapped on my ankle weights thus working my legs. At 5:40 I then shaved took my shower thus getting ready for the day. I then went out into the kitchen for a bowl of hot cereal and a piece of toast. Once I finished eating, I had called my grandmother before sitting down to wait for United Wheelchair to arrive. Upon my arrival to WestSide, I had put my lunch and clothing into my locker. I then went to the lobby to wait for my first appointment. I had met with Brad at 10:00. We had discussed mindfulness and did a practice. At 10:30 I then met with Brenda the Nurse. We had talked about my upcoming E.E.G. and the most recent aura,s I had been having. I then shared with her some poetry I had written. At 11:00 I had gone to the conference room for Brain Injury Education Group. Today we went through old handouts and papers the group has accumulate through the years. In doing so deciding whether to keep or trash. We then talked about the notes that we had kept. At 12:00 I then ate my lunch before before taking a shower. I then went to the conference room for support group. Today we spoke about being thankful for what we have. At 2:00 during my speech session with Susan and I talked about my book. She wants me to make an outline of my book, thus looking at the content. We also spoke about how to make participating in group settings a little easier. Preparing ahead of time. Putting my full attention on that person speaking. I had arrived home at 4:10. Once inside, I had lied down to rest. I slept until 5:30 before getting up. I then ate dinner before calling my grandmother. I then pulled up my blog.
