I began my Saturday morning on the 19th of January by going into the kitchen at 10:20 a.m. to eat my fruit while drinking a cup of tea at the kitchen table while sitting on a bar stool three feet off the hardwood floor. Luckily my mother was in the kitchen also. Just as I began to start eating, without any warning. I fell off the bar stool hitting my head onto the hardwood floor. There I was laying there having a grand mol seizure. My mother immediately called 911. As I was coming too parametric's were by my side strapping me to a stretcher to take me out to the ambulance. I was still in my night clothing which made it more comfortable. Once in the ambulance one of the paramedics stuck an I.V. in my arm. I soon found myself in the ambulance on my way to Franklin Memorial Hospital. Upon my arrival to the Hospital I was taken to the E.R. to be checked over. I would be. given a C.T. scan to see if I had a concussion from the fall and to see what might have caused the seizure. After meeting with the doctor, I would soon be on my way home. I would a follow up appointment with my P.C.P. later. Since then I have been home resting in bed not attending my therapy sessions at WestSide praying that I do not have another stroke because every time I bang my head that hard, something is bound to happen. I am still having minor head aches that I wish would go away soon.
