My Wednesday morning began at 8:00 a.m. by making my bed. I then took a shower and got ready for my first day of Physical Therapy. I then went into the main camp to at some fruit while drinking my hot cocoa. After doing so, I then had a bowl of cereal and half of an english muffin. Once I had finished eating I had returned to my camp to brush my teeth. Once I had put in my eye and nose drops, I then took in two puffs of air. My father then took me to Franklin Memorial Hospital for my first day of Physical Therapy that my neurologist ordered. I wish I could have been going to WestSide Neurorehab but this way is safer with this pandemic going on. Upon arrival I was given a mask and was introduced to my Physical Therapist Tamara. Once I given a mask they want you to wair while in physical therapy we began our evaluation. She had me first telling her my history of stroke and all the rehab that I had done. She then had me do some walking and balancing activity. After doing so, I had let her know that m ankle has been hurting me, so she looked at it, snd she saw that it was a little swollen. She said, "I have some things we can do to help that." She then asked me what are your goals for coming to rehab. I explained to her how I would like my balance to be a little better and be better so as to be able to use my white cane once again. After. the eval was finished, she then let me know her physical therapy assistant Ian would be working with me too. Once that was taking care of, I then went to the front desk and a eleven appointments were set up for me. My father then took me back to camp Upon arrival at 1:00, I had gone right into my camp to rest. I had slept until 3:30. I then got up to take a shower. I then pulled up my blog and began to type of my first day of physical therapy.
