Fighting a cold
My Sunday morning began at 7:00 a.m. by going into the kitchen so as to drink some tea while saying good-bye to my sister. I then had peanut butter and honey on two toast. Once I had finished eating, I had returned to my bedroom at 8:00. A.m. so as to brush my teeth. I then try to use my inhaler, but the way I was feeling my throat did not allow me to. Sore throat and coughing, go figure. I then put in my eye and nose drops. I then watched the news after taking some cough medication. I then called United Wheelchair so as to cancel my ride for tomorrow. I then lied down to rest at 8:40 and I had slept until 12:50 before waking. I then went into the kitchen so as to drink some tea and have a bowl of soup. At 1:06 I had found enough energy to clean my bathroom. Before taking some cough syrup at 1:20. I then lied down to sleep again until 3:30. I then spoke to a friend who had called before taking a shower at 4:20. I then pulled up my blog so as to type of my day.

A visit from my sister
My Friday morning began at 12:35 a.m. by taking two Tylenol so as to help the headache that I had. I then was able to relax and sleep until 6:00 before having to take my seizure medication. I then slept until 8:00 before going into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with tea. I then had a bowl of hot cereal with a piece of toast. I guess by now yo’ve realized that I was not feeling all that well today. At 8:50 I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. Once I had my eye and nose drops in, I then took in some air. I then remade my bed before taking some cough syrup. At 9:30 I then put some clean laundry away before resting. I then shaved and did my back exercises before resting again. At 1:00 I then went into the kitchen for a bowl of soup and tea. I then brought the rest of the tea to my bedroom so as to rest until 3:00. My sister and I then exchanged birthday gifts. At 4:09 we had chicken livers and bacon. I then took a shower and called it a day.

Making it through the day
My Friday morning began at 7:30 a.m. by taking the sheets off of my bed. I then brought them and the rest of my dirty laundry to the laundry room so as to start a wash. After doing so, I had gone to the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt while drinking my hot cocoa. I then make myself two eggs with a toasted english muffin. I had finished eating at 8:15. I then picked up the kitchen before starting the dishwasher. At 8:17 I had put the first load of laundry into the dryer before starting another. At 8:20 I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth and put in my eye and nose drops. At 8:30 I had taken my first puff of my inhaler. I then make my bed, thus putting on clean sheets before taking my second puff. At 8:48 I had vacuumed my bedroom before doing the stretches that I had learned how to do for my stroke recovery. At 9:09 I then had returned to the laundry room so as to fold the laundry in the dryer before putting another load in the dryer. Once I had another wash started, I then brought laundry to my bedroom to put away. At 9:18 I then continued to do my stretches before cycling for twenty minutes. At 9:50 I had finished cycling. I then retuned to the laundry room to fold some more laundry. I then brought it to my bedroom and put it away. I then unloaded the dishwasher thus putting all the dishes away. At 10:50 I then did my back stretches’ before filling my empty pill containers. At 11:30 I then made my move in words with friends before sitting down at 11:40 so as to eat lunch. Once I had finished eating, I had taken a shower before laying down to rest. I had slept from 1:00-3:14. I then got up and had a cup of tea, feeling a cold coming on. I then spoke to my grandmother before eating dinner at 4:15. Once I had finished eating, I then went to my bedroom so as to blog of my day.

Talking about setting up an eye appointment with Tim
My Thursday morning began at 5:00 a.m. Once my bed was made, I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my stroke. Once I was loosened up, I then continued with my back stretches. At 5:20 I continued my workout by cycling for twenty minutes. At 6:00 I had returned to my bedroom so as to shave and take my shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 6:22 I then made my way into the kitchen. So as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt. Once I had finished my toasted English muffin, I then went back to my bedroom at 6:40 so as to brush my teeth. Once my eye and nose drops were in, I had taken the first puff of my inhaler. At 7:10 I then put some clean laundry away before taking the second puff. I then grabbed my knapsack and met the United Wheelchair driver who would be taking me to WestSide in my driveway. I had arrived at WestSide Neurorehab at 8:50. I had gone strait to the kitchen for breakfast club group. Today Marie had us making French toast along with a glass of orange juice. While we were eating we had planned what we would be making for next week. Egg, home fries, and turkey bacon. At 10:00 during Healthy Brains we first did a jumble. After doing so we then played Red Heron. At 11:00 during my rehab session with Jamie she helped me to learn more about my phone. We then played a game of mancola. I then went to the dining area to eat lunch. Once I had finished eating, I then went to the lobby to wait for my case manager from the devision of the blind to pick me up. He had taken me down the street where we usually meet. Once we had signed out a room, we began to talk. He would like me to call my eye doctor to set up an apppointment. We then continued to talk about the Immersion program. At 2:00 Tim then brought me back to WestSide so as to meet my ride. I had arrived home at 3:25. I had gone strait to bed. I had slept until 5:13. I then took a shower before eating dinner. I then pulled up my blog.

Coming up with questions to ask Tim
My Wednesday morning began at 4:50 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that have have helped me during my latest stoke recovery. At 5:13 I then continued to stretchby doing my back stretches. At 5:25 I thencycled for twenty minutes. I then returned to my bedroom so as to shave and shower thus getting ready fro the day. At 6:10 I then made my way into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with yogurt, before having a bowl of cereal. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. Once I put in my eye and nose drops in, I then took a puff of my inhaler before meeting United Wheelchair in my driveway. Upon my arrival to WestSide Neurorehab, I had gone to Nancy’s office for visually impaired group. Today the other client and I discussed the struggles of visual impairment, also living with a seizure disorder. We then came up with some questions that I can ask my case manager for the devision of the blind when I meet with him Thursday. At 10:00 during my rehab session with Jamie, we had first gone to Dunkin to get a drink. We then returned to WestSide so as to put some contacts into my phone. At. 11:00 during mindfulness we had worked on painting our masks while focusing on our breathing. At 12:00 I then went to the lobby so as to catch my ride. I had arrived home at 1:25. Once I had put something comfortable on, I then had lunch. I then returned to my bedroom at 1:50 so as to brush my teeth, before laying down to rest. I had slept until 4:45 before waking. I took a shower before having a bowl of corn chowder. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom so as pull up my blog and type of my day.

Learning how to read my new inhalerduring my ynursing session with Sally
My Tuesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. Once I had my bed made, I then began to do the stretches that had helped during my latest stroke. I then preceded with my back stretches before cycling for twenty minutes. At 5:55 I then shave and showered upon returning to my bedroom. Once I was ready for the day ahead, I then made my way out into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt before having some scrambled eggs and half english muffin toasted. At 6:40 I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before taking a puff or two of my inhaler. Once I was ready, I then listened to my audio book while waiting for United Wheelchair to arrive. United Wheelchair had arrived at my doorstep at 7:15, thus getting me to WestSide Neurorehab at 8:20. I then went to the client lounge to sit and wait to meet with Priyadarshi for counseling. Today we focused on getting my life back the way it was. Gaining control of things Iuse to. Having a stroke when you are child is entirely different from having one when you are an adult. At 10:00 I briefly met with Steven my case manager. He just wanted to know the day and time of my next meeting with Tim my case for the devision of the blind. I then asked him if he set up my transportation for one hour later to go home at 2:00. I then went to Tobie’s office for recreational therapy. Today we had finished the bird feeder using popcycle sticks. Ate 11:00 I then went to the nursing station to meet with nurse Sally. Today she continued to show me how to use my inhaler and checked out my flow vent readings for the past week so as to check my lungs. We then ordered my new inhaler because it was time. We then checked to see if I was taking the right dose of depecote. I had one seizure over the week. At 12:00 I then went into the lobby so as to meet the United Wheelchair driver who would be taking me home. Ihad arrived home at 1:04. Once I was comfortable I then back into the kitchen at 1:13 so as to eat lunch. After doing so, I then went back to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth and lay down to rest. I had slept from o1:30-4:02 before waking. I then took a shower before eating dinner. I had returned to my bedroom at 4:42 and pulled up my blog and typed of my day.

Talking to Steven about getting in touch with Tim
My Monday morning began on this April fool’s day at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my latest stroke. Once I had completed my back stretches, I had then cycled for twenty minutes before ending my morning routine. I then returned to my bedroom so as to shave and to take my shower. Once I was ready for the day ahead, I then put in my eye and nose drops before going into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt. I then had a toasted english muffin with jams. I had finished eating at 6:40 thus returning to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. At 6:50 I then took the first puff of my inhaler. I filled my empty pill containers for the week ahead. I then took the second puff of my inhaler before United Wheelchair arrived at my doorstep. I had arrived at WestSide at 9:15, I had made my way to the conference room for newsletter group. We had been discussing topics. For our next newsletter with Jessica. I was then given the assignment to write articles on the history of April fools day, and Thomas Jeffersons birthday. We then came up with words for this months word search. Jessica then let us know that it is o.k. To ask Ashly and Sarah to be our friends on facebook. At 10:00 during a rehab session with Kathy we had looked on Utube at possible places to live when getting back out on my own. Kathy then asked me to present to a group of staff at WestSide on the things that I do and focus on that help keep me positive and moving forward. For example typing my blog, writing poetry, and what I now want during this time of my life as I move forward. At 11:00 I then had a fifteen minutemen case management session with Steven to discuss moving forward with Tim. At 11:20 I then went the conference room to continue with the group that I was scheduled to be in geniology group. Working on another clients history, we all linguished in the opertunity in gaining knowledge in geonology. At 11:00 I then went to the lobby so as to meet the United Wheelchair driver who would be taking me home. I had arrived home at 1:40. Once I was comfy, I had eaten my lunch before laying down to rest. I had slept from 2:00-4:46. I then took a shower before eating dinner. Once I had put some clean laundry away, I then pulled up my blog and typed of my day.
