A breath of fresh air
During the summer of 2020
At times it’s hard to get out
unless your good and ready.
The uncertainty of your safety
To go out and walk the streets,
So we tend to stay at home
Avoiding the people you might meet.
But that one day a month
You take time out to go to the store,
You meet people there from everywhere
That you’ve never seen before.
Uncertain of the goods that you buy
But you know that are in high demand,
You reach out to every shelf
As you grabbed every can.
On your way home, your think to yourself
What am I going to do?
Where do I put all of these groceries i bought
I do not have a clue.
This pandemic is driving me crazy
You hear people say every day,
I want to go back to work and school
So I can be on my way.
We all are creatures of habit
And when something stands in our way
We want to plow through it, like a bulldozer
So we can be on our way.
All though the beaches start overflowing
and people continued to be screened
We continue to slowly get on with our lives
But do not avoid covid-19.
