You Surely Will Be Missed Grandma
My grandmother’s life here on earth
Was giving and very true,
She would give a ride to a stranger
As they were down and blue.
She loved to gamble
And go on trips. with friends and family,
When she had a plan, her mind was set
And off she went to see.
She would travel the world,
With her cousin Bunny,
And have herself a blast,
Those two were inseparable,
As time surely did pass.
When I turned Twenty-one
She took me to Las Vegas, with my mother,
It was a trip of a lifetime
One like no other.
She taught me how, to play cribbage
When she could not teach my mother,
I was able to count those cards so quick
I was able to then teach others.
My math skills were not that great
But when I soon got that twenty-nine hand,
My grandmother and I were both astonished
As we saw those cards land.
My grandmother had a lot to give
Although she did not have a lot,
Her friends would count on her
Whether she gave them rides or not.
I learned a lot from my grandmother
Ever since I was a child,
From her knowledge to playing games
Or just traveling and going wild.
Rest In peace Grandma
Your Grandson, Troy.
