A Brain Injury Education Presentation given today at Mt. Valley Middle School
My Friday morning began at 5:30 a.m. by going out into the kitchen so as eat some fruit while drinking my hot cocoa. After doing so, I then had a muffin in a half toasted with jam. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom at 6:20 so as to brush my teeth and shave. Once I had made my bed, I then began my workout. At 6:37 I had began to stretch. Once I was loose, I had worked my upper body. Trying not to wear myself out, I had refused to strap on the ankle weights, ha ha. At 7:05 I then took my shower, thus getting ready to go give a presentation on the effects of brain injury at Mt. Valley Middle school. At 7:55 I had called my grandmother before leaving. United Wheelchair had picked me up at 8:30 a.m. I had arrived at the school in Mexico at 9:30. I was the first presenter there, so I had gone inside to check in and was brought to the class room in which we would be presenting in. While waiting for the rest of the group, I read my personal story to the class. As I was doing so the other group members had arrived. The other group members then read their personal story's. We then did some hands on activities which allows the class to experience first hand what it is like to walk in our shoes. Once the presentation was done, United Wheelchair then brought me home. I had arrived home at 12:00. Once I had a bowl of corn chowder, I had taken a shower before packing a little more for my stay at Mass. General next week. Lets hope this test I am going through will come up with some answers on how to treat my seizure disorder. It is a little scary when I think about it. Although I will be in a safe enviorment Having another grand mol seizure scares me to death. At 5:20 I then had dinner before calling my grandmother. I then pulled up my blog and began to type.
