Creating a work picture
My Wednesday morning began at 5:30 a.m. by getting out of bed so as to stretch. I then preceded to do my upper weight exercises. Once I had worked my upper body, I had shaved before strapping on my ankle weights so as to work my legs. At 6:00 I had taken my shower thus getting ready for the day ahead. After doing so, I had gone out into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. I then had my breakfast. Once I had brushed my teeth, I then grabbed my knapsack and lunch and out the door I went. United Wheelchair had me at the door step of WestSide at 9:00 a.m. Once I had my things in my locker, I had gone back up to the lobby to wait. As I was doing so, Mindy had given me my progress summary report. I then met with Tobie and another client for gardening group. We had gone out into the garden to do some planting. Today we had planted onions, carrots, and radish's. After doing so we had gone back inside. At 10:00 I then had gone to the conference room for memory strategy's group. Today Michelle had us create a work picture. We had to come up with words beginning with the letters sp. After doing so we then named five things that we pass bye on the way hone from WestSide. Michelle then brought in some items that were sitting on her desk. We studied them. She then put a cloth over therm. We then had to list as many of the items as we could remember. At 11:00 During Brain Injury Education Group, we spoke about our upcoming presentation to be given at Franklin Memorial Hospital in front of the Scrub Club. This is a group of high school students interested in going into the medical field after graduation. We had gone through our personal stories, and checked out the one handed activities. We then laminated the introduction for me to have to read before the rest of the group arrives. Most likely I will be there before everyone else. Franklin Memorial Hospital is in the town in which I live and WestSide is an hour away. We then showed Laura who was filling in for Deb how to do one handed activities. At 12:00, I had taken a shower before eating my lunch. At 1:00 I then joined support group for an hour sharing with others of my week. At 2:00 I then grabbed my things before going home. Upon my arrival home at 3:00 I had slipped into something comfy before sitting down to blog of my day.
