Truncated Domes

My Wednesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that have me during my latest stroke each morning. At 5:30 I then shaved before taking my shower thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 6:00 I then made my way into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. I then had a banana sandwich Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom, so as to brushe my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before taking in some air. At 7:10 United Wheelchair had arrived to take me to westside. Thus catching me off guard, I quickly grabbed my knapsack and headed out the door. I had arrived at WestSide at 9:00 a.m. I then went to Nancy’s office for visually impaired group. Today we spoke about adaptive technology and living. At 10:00 during my rehab session with Jamie we had gone walking on the river walk. At 11:00 I then went to Priyadarshi’s office for Mindfulness and meditation. Today we talked about breathing while stretching. We then did some stretching while taking deep breaths, breathing into the part of your stretch. At 12:00 I then went to the lobby so as to eat lunch. At 1:00 Jordon my new O&M instructor  arrived at WestSide. He had taken over the place of Katlyn, my last O&M instructor. Once we had briefly talked about what  my goals are for O&M before going out into the community. He then had me do some walking while using my cane. He then sowed me how far I should swipe my cane from side to side. He then showed me what Truncated Domes were in the sidewalk. It is a circle at each crosswalk With nubs sticking out of it so as to let the blind identify when a cross walk comes up. Next week Monday 6/3 at 1:00 p.m. is my next appointment with Jordan. Then we will be taking a ride to Schooner Estates to look at bus routes and maps. I now have to think of a goal to work on with Jordan Once I was back to WestSide I began to email Tim my case manager for the devision of the blind to let him know my first session with Jorden went. At 2:30 I then left WestSide. I had arrived home 4:00. I had arrived home. Once I had taken a shower, I had talked with my parents. I then ate dinner. At 5:00 I then went to my bedroom so as to pull up my blog and type of my day.
