My Monday morning began at 5:30 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then went into the kitchen to drink a cup of hot cocoa while eating my fruit. After doing so, I then had a bowl of hot cereal with half of a toasted english muffin. At 6:05 I then returned to my bedroom to brush my teeth and shave. At 6:15 I then did my back stretches before taking my shower so as to get ready for the day ahead. Once I was dressed and ready to go, at 6:45 I had put in my eye and nose drops before taking in two puffs of air with my inhaler. At 7:14 Buzz from United Wheelchair arrived to take me to WestSide. Upon my arrival at 8:20 I sat in the lobby for forty minutes with all the other clients waiting to go into the conference room at 9:00 for the Thanksgiving special event. Once in the conference room at 9:00 Danielle Keileigh and Skylar had us pick a feather made out of different colored construction paper and write on it all the things we are thankful for. At 9:25 we painted wooden ornaments to hang on our Christmas trees at home. At 10:30 we were given a packet of two word searches, a crossword puzzle, and a coloring page to work on to bide the time. We were then asked who was interested in attending a holiday party in two weeks in Gorham at then Goodwill Head Quarters. I said no. At 11:30 we began to eat our thanksgiving meal of turkey, stuffing, potato's with gravy, squash, three bean salad and a choice of dessert of pecan pie, pumpkin pie, or lasagna pie. I chose lasagna pie. I never had it before. While eating we watched a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. At 1:00 once we had finished eating, we played bingo for prizes. We then did some Thanksgiving Trivia. At 3:00 I went to the lobby to meet Derik the United Driver who took me home. I arrived home at 4:15. After taking a shower and was comfortable for the evening, I had a small bite to eat before returning to my bedroom, to blog of my day.
