In my first team meeting yesturday we discussed progress being made in my therapy. OT and PT discussed the length of time that I have left here and feel I could be going home in about month from now. This date is based on my progress and goalsbeing met. Everybody thinks I am doing well, and everybody wants to work with me! I am going out for lunch again Thursday, more to come..

During my OT session with Erica today, she took great pleasure in shaving my arm so as to put new Kensio tape on!!!
Yesterday, during my first outing a group of us went to Gippers for lunch. Real food - Grilled Roast Beef and cheese sandwich, fries, and a glass of milk. Looking forward to next Thursday.

A Treat it is!
My Gram and Aunt Joan flew in on Saturday from Florida and we went to visit Troy on Sunday. We snuck in a Lobstah roll. What a treat after having "cafeteria" food for a month. He was able to get outside for some fresh air and have a brief visit with his nephew, Peppy. :-)

Troy has been moved to the rehab center at St. Mary's D'Youville Pavilion in Lewiston, Maine, where he will continue his journey toward independence. Information on the facility can be found at http://www.stmarysmaine.com/Senior-Health/Transitional-Care/. He'll be able to have a computer at this location. At that point, we're hoping to have him begin blogging his updates and daily life of a stroke survivor. I know he's excited to get back to communicating more frequently with everyone and fill you in on his daily activities. He is doing a lot on his own now, however still has difficulty walking and needs assistance. Here are a couple of videos to show you how he is now using his right arm and hand as well as a little teasing from his sister. :-) (I couldn't resist) Even Steve chips in...I would LOVE a mani!!!
