Home at last

My Sunday morning begnat at 7:00 a..m. By taking the sheets off the the bed that I was sleeping on at my sisters. Once I had finished eating, I then had taken a shower, thus getting ready to leave. My parents soon had arrived who were staying in Portland to do some shopping over the weekend while I did some bonding with my sister. We were soon on the road homeward by 9:50. Upon our arrival home at 11:50 after a couple of momentarily stops we unpacked the car. Once my suitcase was unpacked, I then put on my workout shorts and a t-shirt to do just that, “work out!” I had first cycled from 12:30-12:50. I then folded some laundry that had been hanging to dry. At 1:05 I then went back to my bedroom so as to do my stretches that have helped me since having my last stroke. Once I was loosened up, I then began to do my back stretches. At 2:00 I then layed down to rest. I had slept until 5:00 before waking. Ithen took a shower before eating dinner. After doing so, I had spoke to my grandmother briefly before pulling up my blog.

Spending the day at my sisters

My Saturday morning began at 8:00 a.m. by doing my back stretches. I then went downstairs to drink my hot cocoa with my sister. After doing so we had eating breakfast together while talking. At 8:45 I then had brushed my teeth, thus getting ready to go out for a walk. We had left the house at 9:00 and returned at 9:50. I then took the firstf puff of my inhaler and shaved before taking the second puff. Once I had my eye and nose drops in, I then called my grandmother. At 11:00 I the watched this weekends Sunday Mass. At 11:36 mass had ended. I then watched a movie on net Flix. At 12:30 I had eaten lunch. At 1:00 I then had brushed my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept until 3:30 before Waking. I then visited with my sister and her friend before taking a shower at 4:43. I then pulled up my blog and typed of my day before eating.

Going to my sisters

My Friday morning began at 7:30 a.m. by taking the sheets off of my bed. I then took them and the rest of my laundry to the laundry room so as to start a dark load. I then went to the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt while drinking my hot coco. After doing so, At 8:00 I then had peanutbutter and honey on english muffin. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then made my bed. At 8:30 I had put the load in the dyer before starting another load. At 8:35 I had gone back to my bedroom so as to do the stretches that have helped me during my lates stroke. At 8:50 I then began to do my back stretches. At 9:00 I then filled my emptied pill containers. At 9:16 I then took the first puff of my inhaler. I then continued doing some things before taking the second puff. I then went to the laundry room at 9:23 to fold the dark load that was in the dryer. Ithen put another load in the dryer to dry before starting another At 9:34 I then cycled for twenty minutes. At 9:54 I had brought some laundry to my bedroom to be folded and put away. At 10:30 I then went to the laundry room to get another load in the dryer before putting another in. I then folded the laundry in the laundry room before bringing it to my bedroom and putting it away. At 10:45 I had taken a shower thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 11:10 I then folded another load and put it away. I then continued to get ready. At 12:46 I then left the house with my parents for Portland. I had stayed with my sister for a couple of days while they spent the weekend together. At 4:53 we arrived at my sisters. My parents had left, while I waited for my sister to arrived home after work. At 5:00 my sister and I then went out to eat at Bally’s. We had arrived home at 5:36. Once we arrived we had ordered our meal. Once we had finished eating, we then left for my sisters. Upon arrival we got comfortable for the night. I then pulled up my blog and typed of my day.

Making omelets during breakfast club

My Thursday morning began at 4:50 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, Ithen began to do my stretches that have been helping me in my latest stroke. At 5:10 I then began to do my back stretches. At 5:20 I then cycled for twenty minutes. Once I had completed my workout, I then went back to my bedroom so as to shave and take my shower thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 6:25 I then went into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt. Once I had finished a bowl of cereal with a toasted english muffin, I then returned to my bedroom to brush my teeth. I then put in my eyes and nose drops in.  Once I had filled my empty pill containers, I had grabbed my empty nap sack sack and met Andy the United Wheelchair driver that would be taking me to WestSide this morning. Upon my arrival for 9:00 a.m. I had gone to the kitchen for breakfast club. Today Marie had us making omelets with greenpeeppers, onions, and sausage. Once we had finished cooking, we then sat down to eat while talking about some news. We then planned what we were going make next week. At 1:00 I then went to the conference room for healthy brain group. Today we played woven words and red haring. At 11:00 during my rehab session with Jamie, we began to add contacts to my phone. We then watched a video  on how to do it. At 12:00 I then went to the lobby so as to meet the United Wheelchair driver who would be taking me home. Ihad arrived home at  1:10.  Once I was comfortable I had eaten lunch. After doing so, I then returned to My bedroom at 1:40 so as to brush my teeth. I then layed down to rest and slept until 4:30. Once I had eaten dinner I had brushed my teeth before taking a shower. I then packed a suitcase to go to my sisters for the weekend. At 6:24 I then pulled up my blog and typed of my day.

Walking at Bates Track

My Wednesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to the stretches that have helped me during my latest stroke recovery. At 5:20 I then focused on my back stretches. At 5:30 I then cycled for twenty minutes before returning to my bedroom so as to shave and take my shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 6:10 I then went back into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with yogurt. After a banana sandwich with peanutbutter. At 6:30 I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops. At 6:44 I had taken the first puff of my inhaler. Once I had taken the second puff, I then grabbed my things and met United Wheelchair in my driveway. Upon my arrival to WestSide for 9:00 I gone to Nancy’s office for visually Impaired Group. We shared things about our week, in the world of a person with a visual impairment while living with a brain injury. At 10:00 during my rehab session with Jamie, she and I went to bates track to do some walking. While walking we talked about using my new phone. When we returned to WestSide I had taken some notes down to put in the document on google docs that I had created.  Tomorrow she will show me how to put some contact numbers into my phone. At 11:00 I had gone to Priyadarshi’s office. Today we had first did a brief meditation before created a mask. This other client and I had missed out on the special event so we will be doing it in mindfulness group. Priyadarshi then read off some feelings and we had write them down which ones we felt after having our brain injury. He then told us to gather some things over the week tha remind you of those feelings. Some of the words I chose were, afraid, angry, capable, challenged, cheated, confused, Curious, determined, dynamic, eager, energetic, enthusiastic, exhilarated, focused, frustrated, hurt, isolated, lonely, love, optimistic, ready, strong, and tired. I then was told to gather things at home to put on the mask. At 12:00 I then had a fifteen minute case management session with Steven. He had given me a form to fill out. I then went into the lobby to meet the driver who would be taking me home. I had arrived home at 1:35. Once I was comfortable, I then had eaten a salad for lunch. At 2:00 I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth and layed down to rest. I had slept form  2:00-5:00. I then had taken  a shower before eating dinner. At 5:30 I then returned to my bedroom so as to type in todays blog entry.

A clean bill of health

My Tuesday morning began at 4:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my latest stroke and still do to this day. Once I had finished with my back stretches, do to lack of time, I then shaved and took my shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead. I then quickly showed my mother my most recent email from Tim my case manager from the devision of the blind. At 5:30 I then went into the kitchen so as to have some fruit dipped into yogurt. At 5:40 I Then fixed myself a bowl of Cherios and half toast. Once I had finished eating, I had returned to my bedroom at 5:52 so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before taking my first puff of air. I then put some clean laundry away before taking my second puff of air. At 6:45, I then left for Waterville with my parents for our yearly visit to Dr. Kenny’s. Upon our arrival to the Dr’s. Office at 8:00 a.m. we had checked in. I had gone into a room at 8:15. The nurse had updated my medication list before checking a few other things. Dr. Kenny then came into the room to give me a look over. I had checked out clear once again. A Cclean bill of any kind of health, this coming from a dermatologist. We had left the doctors office at 9:06 and arrived home at 10:15. At 10:25 I then cycled for twenty minutes before emailing Tim my case manager from the devision of the blind about setting up an appointment date. I then noted some things that I would like to talk to Tim about in my documents. At 12:15 I then had taken a shower, brushed my teeth and layed down to rest. I had slept. From 12:30-4:30 before waking. I then went into the kitchen so as to eat dinner. Once I had finished a bowl of clam chowder, I then returned to my bedroom so as to pull up my blog and to type of my day.

Talking to Nurse Sally briefly in the hallway today about my medications and how I am doing with nurse Cec

My Monday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I began to do the stretches that have helped me to loosen up in the morning since have my latest stroke. At 5:57, I then preceded to stretche by doing my back stretches. Once Iwas loosened up, Ithen cycled for twenty minutes. At 6:00 I then shaved and took my shower before putting in my eye and nose drops. Att 6:30  I then went into the kitchen so as to dink my hot cocoa while eating some fruit. I then had a bowl of hot cereal with a piece of toast before returning to my bedroom. Once I had my teeth brushed, I then took my first puff of air. At 6:50 I then took the second puff before gathering my things. United Wheelchair had arrived in my driveway at 7:15. Upon my arrival to WestSide for 8:55 I had told the front desk that I would not be in tomorrow. At 9:00 I then went to the conference room for news letter group. Today I had e-mailed my articles that I had written to Jessica. At 10:00 during my rehab session with Kathleen a new rehab technician working now at WestSide, we had thought of some goals to work on during our session. We then looked up Uber rides available in my area. I then saved my list of goals in google docs before showing Kathleen my book I am slowly making progress on. At 11:00 I briefly saw nurse Sally. See wanted to check in with me to wee how I was doing since my nursing session with Cec last week using my inhaler and seizure medication. I then went back to the conference room for geniology group. Today I continued to look up my grandfathers side on my fathers side of the family. At 12:00 I then went to the lobby to meet the United Wheelchair driver who would be bringing me home. Upon my arrival home at 1:42, I had put on something comfortable before eating lunch. After dong so, I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then lay down to rest from 2:00-4:00. Once I had taken a shower, I then had eaten my dinner. At 4:57 I then went back to my bedroom so as to pull up my blog and to type of my day.

Looking for our dr’s office new location

My Sunday morning began at 6:45 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that have helped during my latest stroke recovery. I then preceded to do my back stretches. Once I was loosened up, At 7:15 I then shaved before taking my shower. Once I was ready for the day ahead, I had put in my eye and nose drops. At 9:35 I then took the first puff of my inhaler. I Then went into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. At 9:50 I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then took the second puff of my inhaler. At 10:20 I then left the house with my father, so as to go to Waterville to look for Dr. Kenny’s new office location, so that we are not rushing around Tuesday for our appointment. Once we had found it, At 12:00 we then went to Governor’s for lunch. Once we had ordered we were soon eating. We were then on our way home at 1:20. We had arrived home at 2:50. I had slept most of the way, so as rest was not needed. I had watched a movie before taking a shower at 4:30. I then watched the rest of the movie. In between time my mother had given me communion. I then called it a day.

Doina some claning

My Saturday morning began at 9:00 a.m. by going into the kitchen so as to drink my hot cocoa while eating some fruit dipped into yogurt. After doing so, I had eaten two toasted waffles before returning to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth and make my bed. At 9:37 I then had taken the first puff of my inhaler before cycling for twenty minutes. At 10:00 I then returned to my bedroom so as to do my strethces that have helped me during my latest stroke and still do to this day. At 10:25 I then took the second puff of my inhaler before cleaning my bathroom. At 10:50 I had put in my nose drops. I then continued to clean my bathroom. At 11:50 then layed down to rest. I had slept until 2:40 before waking. I then had some popcorn while sipping on a drink while talking to a friend. At 3:11 I then did my back stretches. At 3:52 I had gone into the kitchen so as to eat an early dinner. Once I had finished eating, I then had taken a shower before watching The Sunday Mass for this week. At 5:40 I then pulled up my blog and began to type of my day.

Laundry Day

My Friday morning began at 9:10 a.m. by taking the sheets off of my bed. I then brought them and the rest of my dirty laundy to the laundry room. Once I had my first load started, I then went to the kitchen at 9:40 so as to eat some fruit while drinking my hot cocoa. I then had toasted an English muffin to go with my bowl of cereal. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom at 10:06 so as to brush my teeth. At 10:10 I then made my way back to the laundry room so as to put the first load into the dryer. I then started another. At 10:18 I had cycled for twenty minutes. I then went back to my bedroom to start doing my stretches that have helped me during my latest stroke. At 10:53 I had taken the first puff of my inhaler. I then continued to stretch. At 11:00 I began to do my back stretches. At 11:13 I then took the second puff of my inhaler before returning to the laundry room. Once I had taken the laundry out of the dryer, I then put another load in the dryer. I then started the third load of laundry before taking the first load to my bedroom so as to fold and put away.At 10:26 I then made my bed, thus putting on clean sheets. At 11:42 I then had shaved before going into the kitchen so as to eat lunch. After eating a grilled cheese, I then returned to the laundry room so as to fold some laundy in the dryer. At 12:15 I then another load in the dryer before bringing more laundry to my bedroom. At 12:20 I then put more laundry away before finishing my back stretches. At 12:48 I then had taken a shower before laying down to rest.  Had slept from 1:00-4:53 before waking. I then went into the kitchen so as to eat dinner. Once I had finished, I then returned to my bedroom at 5:10 so as to pull up my blog and type of my day.

Taking a walk with Jamie during a rehab session

My Thursday morning began at 4:50 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do my stretches that have helped me during my lates stroke. Once I was loosened up, I then began to work my upper body, by doing my weight exercises. At 5:12 I had began to do my back stretches. At 5:25 I had cycled for twenty minutes before ending my workout. I then returned to my bedroom so as to shave and to take my shower. Once I was ready for the day ahead, I then went into the kitchen at 6:10 so as to eat some fruit dipped into yougurt while drinking my hot cocoa. I then went back to my bedroom so as t brush my teeth. I then took the first puff of my inhaler. Once I had my eye and nose drops in, I then took the second puff. At 7:00 I then filled my empty pill containers while waiting for United Wheelchair to Arrive. Upon my arrival to WestSide Neurorehabilitation at 9:00 a.m. Mindy gave me two schedules. I then went to the kitchen for breakfast club group. Today we had each opened a packet of hot cereal. Once it was made, we then brought it to the table to eat. While we were eating, Kala had looked up some news stories for us to talk about. At 10:00, I then went to the conference room for healthy brains group. Today we played woven words. At 11:00 during my rehab session with Jamie, she and I first went out into the community to go for a walk on a trail next to Tall Pines. The trail still had a little bit of snow on it, But with Jamies help for stability, I was able to make the trek o.k. We then went back to WestSide at 11:45. We then went to a treatment room to play Mancala. At 12:00 I then went back into the lobby where I had met the United Wheelchair driver who would be taking me home. Upon my arrival home for 1:10, I had gone strait to my bedroom so as to get comfortabl, before eating lunch. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept from 1:35-4:15. Once I had taken my shower, I then ate dinner. At 5:00 I then pulled up my blog so as to type of my day.

A preview of Fridays Special Event

My Wednesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. Once I had finished my stretches that had helped me during my stroke recovery and still do to this day, I then grabbed my weights and began to work my upper body. At 5:19 I had begun to do my back stretches which also include some leg exercises with ankle weights. Once I had finished my morning routine, I then cycled for twenty minutes, before returning to my bedroom at 5:52. Once I had shaved and taken my shower, I then went back into the kitchen at 6:10 so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt. At 6:25 I then had a bowl of hot cereal with a piece of toast. Once Ihad finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom 6:34 so as to brush my teeth. Ithen took the fist puff of my inhaler. Once I had my eye and nose drops in, I then took the second puff of my inhaler. At 7:15 I then grabbed my things so as to go meet the United Wheelchair driver in my driveway. Buzzy had me at WestSides doorstep by at 8:30 a.m. Upon my arrival I had waited in the lobby briefly before going to Nancy’s office for visually impaired group. Today we had looked up transportation to use if I were to live in Portland area. We had called Dwight at Bay Side and he let us know that  R.T.P. Was the only provider available. In the southern area of the state.  We then went on the R.T.P. Website apps which include 1. TAP TAP TAP C 2. LIGHT DETECTOR. We then spoke about a Utube series called, “The Blind Life.” Nancy then hooked my phone up to the network at Westside Neurorehab. We then called Dwight at BaySide. We then spoke about when I could start the program at the immersions center. In one week or thirteen weeks. Of  course I am going to chose the thirteen weeks. At 10:00 During my rehab session with Jamie, we had gone into the community to go for a walk on some walking trails. We then went back to WestSide to call the Iris Network. At 11:00 I then went to Priyadarshi’s office for mindfulness and meditation. He first spoke about the special event this Friday and gave the other client and I a preview. It is on masks. That we wear to hide our emotions. He was letting us know allot of clients signed up for the event, so they broke it down into smaller groups. We then did a mindfulness practice. At 11:00 I then went to the Lobby so as to meet the driver who would be taking me home. I had arrived home at 1:15. Once I was comfortable, I then had eaten my lunch. At 1:45 I then went back to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept from 1:40-4:00 before taking a shower. I then ate my dinner before returning to my bedroom so as to type in todays blog entry.

Figuring out why I am stil having seizures, during my nursing session with Cec

My Tuesday morning began at 5:00 by making my bed, I then began to do my stretches that have helped me during my latest stroke. After doing so, I then preceded to do my back stretches. At 5:30 I then cycled for twenty minutes. After a twenty minute ride, I then returned to my bedroom so as to do my weight exercises, thus working my upper body. At 6:05 I had shaved before taking a shower. Once I was ready for the day ahead, I had gone into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. After doing so, I then had a bowl of hot cereal a toasted biscuit. At 6:45 I had returned to my bedroom to brush my teeth. I then took my first puff of my inhaler before putting in my eye and nose drops. I then sat down to wait ride United Wheelchair to arrive while listening to my audio book. Before grabbeing my knapsack, I had taken the second puff of my inhaler and then met Andy the United Wheelchair driver who would  taking me to therapy today. Andy and I struck up a conversation and I found out that he graduated high school with my aunt. I had arrived at West Side at 8:30. Once inside I had gone to the client lounge to wait to meet with Priyadarshi. We met for fourty-five minutes. At 10:00 I then went to Tobie’s office for my recreational therapy session. Today we had made a picture frame out of the popcycle sticks. It came out quite well. We then started a bird house with a pirch project using popcycle sticks. At 11:00 I had gone to the nurses station for my nursing session with Cec. I had first shared with her information about the immersion program. The facility that helps those with low no vision get on with there life after an injury. We then spoke about calling Amber my case manager at immersion center next week. We then spoke about the seizures that I was still having and tried to figure out why. Come to find out I am suppose to take meds a.m. and p.m. It did not say that on the script. Cec then let me know that BaySide is moving to Scarborough in the science park next week. Next week Cec and I will call Amber and review total volumes for my inhaler use. At 12:00 I had gone into the lobby to meet Buzzy who would be taking me home. Upon my arrival home at 1:05, I had gone inside to get comfortable before eating lunch. After a big salad, I had returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then layed down to rest. I had slept from 1:35-4:45 before waking. After taking a shower, I had eaten dinner. I the returned to my bedroom at 5:30 so as to type in todays blog entry.

Another seizure on my way to WestSide

My Monday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that have helped me since having my last stroke loosen up every morning. After doing so, I then preceded to stretch by doing my back stretches. At 5:27 I then began to work my upper body by doing my weight exercises. At 5:30 I then cycled for twenty minutes before returning to my bedroom so as to shave and take my shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead while drinking my hot cocoa. I then went into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip before have peanutbutter and honey on three toasted english muffin halves for breakfast. Once I had finished eating, I then retunred to my bedroom at 6:38 so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before taking the first puff of my inhaler. At 6:55 I then took the second puff. I then listened to my audio book while waiting for United Wheelchair to arrive. Along the way we had our ups and downs and obstacles to go through. When we had arrived at the other clients home, The driver, who was new, could not get the seet down for the other passenger to sit in. He in turn called his boss and another van was sent to pick that client up. That about half way into our journey to Lewiston, I had a seizure. Not a grand mol  but the type I get where I get sick to my stomache up into my throught and it feels like the world around me continues to spin. I had to ask the driver to pull over while it passed. I finally arrived at WestSide at 9:45 having only fifteen minutes left of my first therapy. I was very tired after experienceing that seizure, so the first hour did not go over to well, until I regained some of my energy back. I had sat through a rehab session Showing Kathy a new rehab tech some of the things that I have been working on and learning how to do. At 11:00 During genealogy group, I continues to look up my fathers, Fathers side of the family. At 12:00 I then went to the lobby so as to meet the driver who would be taking me home. Upon my arrival home at 1:30, after dropping off another client, I went into the house so as to get comfortable before eating lunch. After doing so, I had returned to my bedroom at 1:50 so as to brush my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept from 2:00-5:00 before waking. Once I had taken a shower, I then ate dinner. I then returned to my bedroom so as to pull up my blog and type of my day.

Enjoying a good laugh

My Suday morning began at 7:30 a.m. by going into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt, I  while drinking my hot cocoa. At 7:45 I then returned to my bedroom so as to make my bed. I then returned to the kitchen so as to have scambled eggs with a toasted biscuit. Once I had finished eating, I went back to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. At 8:07 I then began to do the stretches that had helped me during my latest stroke. Once my body was loosened up, I then began to do my back stretches. At 8:35 I then took the first puff of my inhaler. I then began to do my weight exercises, thus working my upper body. At 8:40, I had shaved before taking my shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 9:12 I then took the second puff of my inhaler. At 9:15 I then put in my eye and nose drops before sitting down to fill my empty pill containers. At 10:00 I then left the house with my mother. She had dropped me off at the Pierce House on her way to church so that I could visit with my grandmother. I had arrived in my grandmothers room at 10:10. We began to play cribbage right off. While playing we had some good laughs and conversation. My mother had arrived after church let out at 11:30. Once she had given us communion, she sat down to visit with her mother. At 11:45 We then said good-bye to my grandmother so that she could go to the dining area to eat. We had arrived home at 12:00. Once I was comfortable, I then sat down to eat lunch at 12:30. Once I had finished eating, I had returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept until 4:05 before waking. I then listened to my audio book before taking a shower before eating dinner. At 5:00 I then returned to my bedroom so as to pull up my blog. I then began typing of my day.

Cleaning and organizing

My Saturday morning began at 9:30 a.m. by going into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt while drinking my hot cocoa. After doing so, I had retunred to my bedroom so as to shave before eating my breakfast. Once I had finished eating, I had returned to my bedroom at 9:57 to brush my teeth. I then took the first puff of my inhaler. Once I had my eye and nose drops in, I cycled for twenty minutes. At 10:30 I then had returned to my bedroom so as to take the second puff of my inhaler before starting in with the stretches that have helped during my stroke recovery. I then finished my workout by doing my back stretches. At 12:00 I had began to organize and go through some papers I had in my bedroom. At 12:30 I had brushed my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept until 3:30 before waking. I then spoke to a friend who had called. At 4:30 I then ate dinner. After doing so, I had taken my shower before watching Sunday Mass. At 5:30 I then pulled up my blog and began to type of my day.

Spending the day cleaning

My Friday morning began at 7:30 a.m. by taking the sheets off of my bed. I then took them and the rest of my laundry to the laundry so as to start my first load of laundry. At 7:40 I then went back to the kitchen so as to eat my fruit dipped in yogurt while drinking my hot cocoa. I then toasted myself half of a bagel and a blueberry mufffin. While it was toasting, I had gone to the laundry room to put the load in the dryer and start a second load of wash. At 8:10 I went back to the kitchen so as to eat my breakfast. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom at 8:21 so as to brush my teeth. After doing so, I then made my bed, thus putting on clean sheets. At 8:43 I cleared the reamaining snow that was melting on the decks. At 8:55 I then went to the laundry room so as to fold laundry in the dryer before putting the next load in the dryer at 9:05. I then began another wash. At 9:10 before cycling for twenty minutes. At 9:33 I then returned to my bedroom with my laundry so as to put it away. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that had helped me recover during my stroke. At 9:50 I then put in my eye and nose drops in before taking my first puff of my inhaler. At 9:55 I then went back to the laundry room so as to fold the laundry in the dryer. I then put the third load in the dryer to dry. I then brought more laundry to my bedroom to put away. At 10:04 I had first vacuumed my bathroom floor. I then scrubbed it with dow bathroom cleaner. At 10:12 I then took my second puff of my inhaler. I then scrubbed my bathroom floor again this time using Hot water and Murphys soap. At 12:45 I then layed down to rest and slept until 3:50. Once I was up, I cleaned the rest of my bathroom before writing a letter to a friend from bayside. At 4:35 I then took a shower before eating my dinner. I then pulled up my blog at 5:00 and began to type of my day.

Hearing some bad news from a United Wheelchair Driver about another Driver

My Thursday morning began at 5:30 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that have helped in my latest stroke recovery. After doing so, I preceded to do my back stretches. At 6:00 I then shaved before taking my shower, thus getting ready for the rest of my day. At 6:10 In  had made my way into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt. At 6:15 I then returned to my bedroom to brush my teeth. After doing so, I had put in my eye and nose drops before using my inhaler. At 7:15 I then grabbed my knapsack and met United Wheelchair in my driveway. Upon my arrival to WestSide Neurorehab at 8:45, I had sat in the lobby waiting for my first group therapy. During breakfast group this morning we were suppose to go to Denny’s for breakfast, but the other client in the group had arrived to late due to his transportation. We then ended up going down to the westside kitchen where Marie made us scrambled eggs with cheeses and toasted Irish bread. At 10:00 during healthy brains group we had played Red Heron and solving words with Jamie. At 11:00 during my rehab session with Jamie she had taken the time to help me learn my new cel phone. We then created a pass code. At 12:00 I then went to the lobby so as to meet the United Wheelchair Driver who would be taking me home. Along the way the United Driver had told me one of the other United wheelchair Driver had a stroke. I sure do know what that is like, but this person was much older that I. I hope I never have to experience a stroke as old as he is now. At least I have been able to recovery from the three strokes that I have had to a certain degree. I can walk and talk that is what is most important, Oh and the fact that I am actually breathing is good too. Upon my arrival home at 1:20 I became a little more comfortable before eating my lunch. I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then slept from 1:50-4:30 before waking. I then took a shower before going into the kitchen so as as to eat dinner. At 5:05 I then returned to my bedroom to pull up my blog so as to type of my day.

Signing a release form

My Wednesday morning began at 4:45 a.m. Once I had made my bed, I then began to do the stretches that have helped me each morning after having my latest stroke. At 5:10 I then began to do my back stretches before cycling. I had had cycled for twenty minutes, I then went back to my bedroom so as to get ready for the day ahead. Once I had shaved and taken my shower, I then went into the kitchen at 6:00 so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt. Once I had finished eating two toasted blueberry muffins with peanutbutter, I then brushed my teeth before putting in my eye and nose drops. Once I had taken my two puffs of air with my inhaler, I had grabbed my knapsack and met Buzzy the United Wheelchairchair diver in my driveway at 7:15. We had arrived at Westside Neurorehab at 8:45. I had gone to the client lounge while waiting to meet for visually impaired group. Today I was the only client in the group, so Nancy and I took the time focusing on yesterday’s tour of the immersion program. We had given a call to Amber who would be my case manager while I am down there to see if there is transportation available if I were to stay at my sisters house. We then looked at an old email from Tim my case manager for the devision of the blind so as to get a run down of groups and individual therapy’s offered at the. Immersion program. At 10:00 during my rehab session switch kacie we had played a game of skip-bo. I then showed her my book that I am writing. At 11:00 during mindfulness and meditation with Priyadarshi, we first spoke about yesterdays tour before doing a mindfulness practice. At 11:00 during my case management session with Steven, We had spoke about yesterdays meeting briefly, he then had me sign a release form giving Westside permission to release any information on me to the Iris network and immersion program. At 12:15 Annie from United Wheelchair had taken me home. I had arrived home at 1:20. Once I was comfortable had eaten my lunch At 1:55 I then brushed my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept until 5:00 before waking. Once I was awake, I had taken a shower before eating dinner. At 5:38 I then pulled up my blog so as to type of my day.

A tour of the immersion program

My Tuesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do my stretches that have helped me during my lates stroke. I then began to do my back stretches. Once I was loosened up, I had cycled for twenty minutes before returning to my bedroom so as to shave and take my shower. At 6:00 I then went back into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. I thenhad a bowl of cherries with a piece of toast. Once I had finished eating, I had returned to my bedroom at 6:30 so as to brush my teeth. Ithen put in my eye and nose drops before taking my first puff of air. I then waiting twenty minutes before taking my second puff. At 6:47 I then had put some clean laundry away. At 7:15 United Wheelchair had arrived to bring me to WestSide Neurorehab. Upon my arrival at 8:25 I had sat in the lobby waiting to meet with Priyadarshi. During my counseling session today we discussed the losses that I have experienced from the three strokes that I have had. At 10:00 Nancy and I had left westside to go to Portland so as to have a tour of the immersion program for people with visual impairment. We had arrived there at 11:00. We had met Tim my case manager for the devision of the blind. He then in turn introduce US to Amber who would be my case manager If I were to live in the dorms and receive a three month programming. Amber then gave my parents, sister, Nancy, and I a tour of the facility and the dorms. Over the next week or two I will be thinking it over. At 12:45 we had left for home. At 1:38 we had stopped to eat lunch along the way before arriving home at 3:54. Once inside, I had taken a shower. At 4:00 I then ate dinner before emailing my case manager for the devision of the blind Tim just to let him know the questions that I had asked amber today. I then pulled up my blog and began to type of my day.

Talking with my cousin Mark

My Monday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that have helped me to loosen up each morning since my last stroke. At 5:10 I then cycled for twenty minutes before returning to my bedroom at 5:30 so as to finish stretching. At 5:38 I began to do my back stretches. At 5:50 I then shaved before taking a shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 6:10 I then made my way into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. After doing so, I then had a bowl of hot cereal wit half of a toasted bagel. Once I had finished eating, I had returned to my bedroom at 6:30 so as to brush my teeth. I then took my first puff of my inhaler. I then put in my eye and nose drops while listening to my audio book. At 7:00 I took the second puff of my inhaler. I then continued to listen to my audio book while waiting for United Wheelchair to arrive. At 7:45 I was soon on my way to WestSide. I had arrived ten minutes late at 9:10. I had made my way to the conference room room for newsletter group. Jes being new to the group since Ashly left, is slowly getting back into the swing of things. She began the group when it first started. She first started talking about the format of the newsletter. We then took a survey of who wants to keep daylight savings time or do away with it. At 10:00 during my rehab session with Marie, she and I had played  three games of checkers. At 11:00 during geniology group we continued to look up our ansesters with Jes. I had worked on my fathers side of the family today. At 12:00 I had gone to the lobby to meet the United Wheelchair driver who would be taking me home. I had arrived home at 1:30. Once inside, I put on something more comfortable before eating lunch. At 2:00 I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then layed down to rest until 4:23. Once I was awake, I had received a call from my cousin Mark. We had talked for a half hour. I then ate dinner. At 5:35 I then took a shower before pulling up my blog so as to type of my day.

A visit with my grandmother

My Sunday morning began at 8:00 a.m. by going into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit while drinking my hot cocoa. After doing so, I then had some scrambled eggs with a toasted english muffin. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom at 8:22, so as to brush my teeth. After doing so, I then took the first puff of my inhaler before making my bed. Once it was made, I then began to stretch. Once I had finished the stretches that have helped me in my stroke recovery, I then began to do my back stretches. At 8:55 I then shaved before taking my shower. Once I was ready for the day, I then put in my eye and nose drops, before taking the second puff of my inhaler. At 9:40 I then listened to my audio book while waiting to leave. At 10:00 I then left the house with my mother. She had dropped me off at the Pierce House so that I could visit with  my grandmother on her way to church. At 10:15 I had arrived in my grandmothers room. While visiting I had watched a funeral procession on the news of a fallen fire fighter who had died in the line of duty saving a fellow fire fighter. My mother had arrived after mass at 11:30. She had given my grandmother and I communion before sitting down for a quick visit. My mother and I then left so that my grandmother could go eat. We had arrived home at 11;45. Once I had something more comfortable on, I then had eaten my lunch. I then layed down to rest at 12:30 and I had slept until 4:00. I then had a bowl of soup my mother had made in a crockpot for todays Sunday meal. At 4:40 I then took a shower before pulling up my blog, so as to type of my day.

Organizing and cleaning the drawers in my bathroom

My Saturday morning began at 9:50 a.m. by going into the kitchen so as to drink my hot coca while eating some fruit with fruit dip. I then had some two toasted waffles before making my way back to my bedroom. At 10:20 I then made my bed before starting with the stretches that have helped me during my latest stroke. At 10:47 I then brushed my teeth before taking the first puff of my inhaler. At  10:55 I then cycled for twenty minutes before returning to my bedroom. At 11:20 I then had shaved before taking the second puff of my inhaler. At 11:30 I then did my back stretches. Once I had completed my workout, I then took a shower. At 12:30 I then began to clean the drawers in my bathroom. I did so until 1:40. I then had a bite to eat. Once I had finished eating, I then brushed my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept from 2:00-5:00 before waking. I then ate dinner before taking a shower. Once I was comfortable for the night, I then pulled up my blog at 5:40 and began to type of my day.

Laundry Day

My Friday morning began at 7:50 a.m. by taking the sheets off of my bed. I then brought them, and the rest of my laundry to the laundry room. Once I had started a wash, I then went to the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip while drinking my hot cocoa. At 8:26 I then had toasted myself an english for breakfast. Once I had finished eating, I had picked up the kitchen. At 8:40 I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth and shave. At 8:50 I had made my bed, thus putting on clean sheets. At 8:55 I then took the first puff of my inhaler before returning to the laundry room so as to put the laundry in the dryer before starting another load of wash. At 9:00 I had cycled for twenty minutes before returning to my bedroom at 9:20. I then began to do my back stretches. At 9:30 I had put some clean laundry away that was in my bedroom. At 9:36 I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my latest stroke recovery. At 9:47 I then took the second puff of my inhaler. At 10:00 I had returned to the laundry room so as to fold laundry that was in the dryer. I then put the load from the washer into the dryer before taking the folded laundry to my bedroom. At 10:00 I then put the laundry away before finishing the stiretches that have helped in my stroke recovery. At 10:15 I then had vacuumed my bedroom before shaving and taking a shower. At 11:11 I then listened to my audio book. At 11:35 I had put my eye and nose drops in before filling my empty pill containers for the week ahead. At 11:50 I then made my move in words with friends before watching some news. At 12:30 I then layed down to rest and I had slept until 3:30. I then had a bite to eat and somehing to drink to tied me over until dinner. At 4:30 I then had eaten dinner. At 4:50 I  had taken a shower before pulling up my blog at 5:00, so as to type of my day.

Making a plan of where to go eat during breakfast club

My Thursday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that have helped me loosen up every morning since having my last stroke. At 5:20 I then began to do my back stretches. Once I was all loosened up, I then took the first puff of my inhaler. I then had cycled for twenty minutes before returning to my bedroom so as to take the second puff. Once I had shaved and showerd,  I then went into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt. After I had finished my bowl of cereal and muffin, I returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then put my eye and nose drops in. United Wheelchair had arrived in my driveway at 7:15. Along the way we had to make a stop to pick someone up at 7:15, while doing so, I had acquired yet another sour taste in my mouth as though to be a symptom of having a seizure. My eyes began to ache afterwards, weird. At 8:45 I finally arrived at WestSide. Once I was inside, I had gone to an empty treatment room for a new group that I had been put in. Breakfast club. Today Marie had another client and I planning on what we would like to do for next week. Once we had our plan made and discussed other ideas of outings for breakfast, we then played a couple of games of checkers. At 10:00 I then went to the conference room for healthy brains group. Today we played Red Heron. At 11:00 during my rehab session with Jamie, She and I took a ride to wal-mart so as to buy a cel phone. I had one before my stroke, but never had used one since then. I now thought it was time. Once we arrived at Wal-Mart I had looked at all of the options and plans. I then made the best deal for my budget. I then arrived back to WestSide at 12:00 so as to catch my ride home. I had arrived home at 1:00. Once I had eaten lunch, I then brushed my teeth before laying down to rest at 1:45. I had slept until 4:30 before waking. I then ate dinner before taking a shower. I then pulled up my blog so as to type of my day.

Emailing Steven to let him knwo of my tour of the immersion program

My Wednesday morning began at 12:04 a.m. by waking by not breathing. Once I had started to breath  again, I had used my rescue inhaler. Once my lungs were filled with air, I was then able to relax and fall back to sleep for a brief period. My alarm had gone off at 5:00 every other morning. Once my bed was made, I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my stroke recovery. At 5:15 I then began to do my back stretches. Once I was loosened up, I then spent twenty minutes cycling. I had returned to my bedroom at 5:50 so as to shave and take my shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 6:15 I then made my way into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip while drinking my hot cocoa. Once I had finished eating my peanutbutter and banana sandwich for breakfast, I then returned to my bedroom at 6:35 so at to brush my teeth. As I was doing so, I had acquired a sour taste in my mouth, then a sudden sick feeling to my stomach as though a small siezure had occurred. After I had assessed the experience that I had just had, sure enough it was a siezure. Buzzy from United Wheelchair had soon arrived to take me to WestSide. Upon my arrival at 9:00 I had gone to Nancy’s office for visually impaired group. I was the only client that had arrived for the group, so I had spent the time showing Marie and O.T. Student my book that I am working on, my blog, and talking about my involvement with devision of the blind. At 10:00 during my session with Jamie, We spoke about doing a project with a bottle. We then looked on pintrist for crafts to make with bottles. At 10:30 we then played a game of battle ship. At 10:50 We then made a quick trip to dunkin to get a hot beverage. At 11:00 During Mindfulness and meditation with Priyadarshi  I was the only client to arrive, so we spent the time emailing my case manager at WestSde Steven to let him know that I need next Tuesday off to go on the tour of the immersion center. We then talked about the weeks stressures before doing a mindfulness practice. At 12:00 I then went to the lobby so as to meet the United Wheelchair Driver who would be taking me home. I had arrived home at 1:17. Once I was comfortable, I had eaten my lunch. At 2:00 I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept until 4:55 before waking. I then ate dinner before taking a shower. After doing so, I then pulled up my blog and began to type of my day.

Learning how to use my new inhaler during a nursing session with Cec

My Tuesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. Once I had made my bed, I then began to do the stretches that have helped during my recovery from my latest stroke. At 5:15 I then began to do my back stretches. Once I was loosened up, I then took two puffs of my inhaler before cycling for twenty minutes. I then returned to my bedroom at 5:50 and took the second puff of my inhaler. Once I had rinced my mouth out with water, I then shaved and took my shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 6:10 I then went into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip before having a toasted bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Once I had finished eating, At 6:28 I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. Once I had my eye and nose drops in, I then grabbed my knapsack and met the United Wheelchair Driver who was picking me up this morning in my driveway. I had arrived at WestSide Neurorehab at 9:00 a.m. I had sat in the lobby for fifteen minutes before meeting with Priyadarshi. We spoke about things and the progress that I am making with the devision of the blind. He then helped me to come up with some questions to ask when I take the tour next week of the Immersion program. At 10:00 I then Went to Tobie’s office for my recreational therapy session. Today I continued to work on my picture frame using popsicle sticks. I actually completed the frame. I then went on pin trist to look for another project. At 11:00 I then went to the nurses office for my nursing session with Cec.  Cec first took my blood pressure. 100 over 78. She and I then completed file of life so as to put in my wallet. She then demonstrated on how to use my new inhaler, she then had me practice using it. She then showed me how to document breathing volumes. At 12:00 I then went to the lobby so as to meet the United Wheelchair Driver who would be taking me home. I had arrived home at 1:15. Once inside, My mothe had a salad made for me for lunch. Once I had eaten it I had gone to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth and slept from 1:48-4:50. I then took a shower before eating dinner. I then went to my bedroom so as to pull up my blog so as to type of my day.

Shoveling the deck

My Monday morning began at 8:30 a.m. I had woken earlier to get up and get ready to go to therapy at westside, but it had been snowing all night so I had called United Wheelchair to see if they were transporting today, and the answer was no. Once I was up, I had made my bed before going into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip while drinking my hot cocoa. I then had two toasted banana muffins with peanutbutter. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom at 9:08 so as to brush my teeth. I then shaved before taking the first puff of my in haler. At 9:20 I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my lates stroke. At 9:35 I then cycled for twenty minutes before returning to my bedrooom at 10:00 so as to take the second puff of my inhaler. I then did my back stretches. At 10:30 I went onto the deck so as to shovel the snow after this latest snow storm. I had finished shoveling at 11:17. I then went inside to my bedroom so as to take a shower. At 11:45 I then went into the kitchen so as to heat myself up a bowl of soup for lunch. At 12:00. I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth before laying down to rest. After the morning I had, I was feeling quite tired. I had slept from 12:00-4:00 before waking. I then went into the kitchen so as to eat dinner with my parents. Once I had finished eating, I then took a shower before pulling up my blog, so as to type of my day.

Having a seizure in my sleep

My Sunday morning began at 7:30 a.m. by making my bed. I was able to get right to my stretching because I had watched The Sunday Mass last night before going to sleep. Once I had completed the stretches that have helped me during my stroke recovery, At 7:45 I then did my back stretches. I was then feeling a little more tired then usual, so I had skipped cycling. At 8:00 I then shaved and showered. Once I was ready for the day, I then put in my eye and nose drops before using my inhaler. I then used the rest of my time to fill my empty pill containers before calling the pharmacy to order my scripts. At 10:00 I then had left the house with my mother. She had dropped me off at the Percse House along the way so that I could visit with my grandmother. I had arrived inside her room at 10:15 a.m. We visited briefly, talking about the week before playing a game or two of cribbage. At 11:30 My mother and sister had arrived after Church. My mother had given my grandmother and I  communion,before  sitting down to visit. At 11:45 We then left. We said good-bye to my sister and my mother and I went to the shop where we meet my father, so that he could give us haircuts. At 12:35 my mother and I had left the shop. She had taken me to the pharmacy so as to pick up my medication. We then went home. We had arrived home at 1:10. Once I had put on some comfortable clothing, I then had eaten my lunch. At 1:45 I then brushed my teeth before laying down to rest. I had fallen to sleep quite quickly.
I then woke fourty minutes later with my bed spinning. I then started to feel sick, to the point of wanting to vomit, but I did not. I knew right then and there it was a seizure that I had experienced. I then went back to sleep until 4:20. I then went into the kitchen so as to eat dinner before taking my shower. At 4:55 I then pulled up my blog so as to type of my day.

visiting with my family

My Saturday morning began at 8:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to stretch. Once I had done my stretches that have helped me during my stroke recovery, I then turned my focus on my back stretches. At 8:45 I then went into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip while drinking my hot cocoa. At 9:00 I then had two waffles for breakfast before returning to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. At 9:23 I then took the first puff of my inhaler. At 9:28 I then started a load of laundry before cycling for twenty minutes. At 9:45 I then finished my ride. I then returned to my bedroom so as to shave and to take a shower. After doing so, At 10:23 I then took my second puff of my inhaler. At 10:30 I had gone to the laundry room so as to put the laundry in the dryer before starting another load. At 10:38 I then opened my new inhaler that is not suppose to make my voice so horse sounding after using it. After doing so, at 11:48 I had folded some laundry in the dryer. At 12:00 I had taken the laundry to my bedroom so as to put away. At 12:10 I then had a sandwich for lunch. At 12:35 I had gone to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept until 4:10 before getting up and going out into the kitchen so as to visit with my family. While doing so, I had a headache come on, so I had taken two tylonol while visiting with my parents, aunt and uncle and sister. At 4:55 I then returned to my bedroom so as to put some clean laundry away before pulling up my blog.

Getting my blood drawn at Franklin Memorial Hospital

My Friday morning began at 7:30 a.m. by taking the sheets off of my bed. I then brought my them and the rest of my laundry to the laundry room so as to start a load of laundry. At 8:00 I then went into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit while drinking my hot cocoa. At 8:10 I then had eaten a bowl of cereal with a blueberry muffin before returning to the laundry room so as to put my laundry in the dryer. I then went back to the kitchen so as to finish eating my breakfast. At 8:28 I then had picked up the kitchen before starting the dishwasher. I then went back to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before taking my first puff of my inhaler. I then cycled for twenty minutes. At 9:12 I then had finished my ride before returning to my bedroom at 9:15 so as to take the second puff of my inhaler. I then returned to the laundry room so as to fold the laundry in the dryer. I then put the wash in the dryer. At 9:22 I then shaved before making my bed with clean sheets. At 9:28 I then folded the laundry that was in the dryer and put it away. At 9:34 I then finisheded making my bed before starting to do the stretches that have helped me during my stroke recovery. At 9:54 then did my back stretches. I then put some more clean laundry away before sweeping the garage. At 10:20 I then shoveled my little deck off my bedroom before going out onto the main deck to shovel. At 10:53 I then eemptied the dishwasher. Once the dish’s were put away, I then went back out on the deck to continue shoveling at 11:00. At 11:35 I had finished shoveling. At 11:35 I had finished shoveling the main deck. I then went inside so as to take a shower and to get ready for the rest of my day. At 12:15 I then went into the kitchen so as to eat lunch before calling my primary care doctors office to talk to Jessica the nurse about my new inhaler. At 12:30 I then brushed my teeth. At 12:53 Once my mother had arrived home from work she had taken me to Franklin Memorial Hospital so as to have my blood drawn so as to check on the levels since being on the new medication that I am taking fo my seizures. After a stop along the way we finally made it to the hospital. Once my blood was drawn We had left the hospital. I then stopped at the pharmacy along the way home so as to pick up my new inhaler. We finally arrived home at 2:45. Once inside, I was soon laying down to rest at 2:50. I had slept until 5:00 before waking. I then checked my e-mail. I then responded to Tim’s email on a tour of the immersion center. At 5:10 I then had eaten my dinner before taking a shower. At 5:50 I then called my grandmother before pulling up my blog at 6:00, so as to type of my day.
