Walking heel toe during P.T.
My Monday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by getting out of bed to stretch. After doing so, I then preceded to do my weight exercises. Before going out into the kitchen, I had taken my shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead, while drinking my hot cocoa. I then went out into the kitchen at 6:30 to have a banana sandwich for breakfast with peanut butter on one slice and Nutella on the other. I then brushed my teeth, grabbed my lunch and my knapsack and out the door I went. United Wheelchair had brought me directly to WestSide, right on time. The schedule change has been working in my favor. No more arriving late on Monday. Yeh!!! I had gone straight to the kitchen to put my lunch in the refrigerator before going to the gym for my P.T. session with Lydia. Today Lydia first had me walking on the treadmill for twenty minutes at 2.4 m.p.h. She then strapped the gate belt on and we went out into the hall way so as to have me walk heel toe. We then went back into the gym to the parallel bars to do some side leg raises, focussing on keeping my leg back as I raise it. At 10:00 I then made my way to the conference room for Tai Chi Group. Today Joe had us focussing on our breathing and our balance while exercising. We then practiced the form. The last ten minutes we followed a guided meditation. At 11:00 I had stayed in the conference room for laughter therapy. with Deb and Florina. Today Jay, Will, Stephanie, Roland, Jack and I played the laughter game we created, Using all of the laughing techniques we have learned. At 12:00 I then went to the dining area to eat my lunch with others. At 1:00 Rod from United wheelchair took Don and I home. I had arrive home at 2:40, thus taking my shower then going straight to bed. I had slept 'til 4:40 before getting up to eat dinner. I then returned to my lap top to blog.
