My appointment at Pine Tree Orthopedic Lab

My Thursday morning began at 4:40 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then preceded to do my stretching that has been helping me in my stroke recovery. At 5:05 I then grabbed my weights and began to work my upper body. At 5:10 I then did my back exercises before doing one my set of my weight exercises. At 5:30 I had shaved before taking my shower. At 6:15 I then made my way into the main camp so as to drink my hot cocoa while eating some fruit with fruit dip. I then had scrambled eggs with a piece of toast. At 6:45 I had retunred to my camp so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops befor taking in some air. At 7:15 Dan from United Wheelchair had picked me up to bring me to WestSide Neuro rehab. Upon my arrival, I had told Kala who was covering at the front desk, that I had a neurological appointment Monday and that I would not be in. I then asked Kala if Nancy was free. I wanted to talk to her about my meeting with Tim the guy from the devision of the blind. I had then gone into Nancy’s office to let her know of my options. 1. To work one hour per week with a mobility specialist at home or 2. To spend three months intense training at the Iris Network in the Conversion Center. She had asked if I had decided yet, and I replied, “No I am still mauling it over.” I then went into a treatment room to wait for Kala. During our rehab session today we had completed editing chapter two. At 11:00 during my rehab session with Jamie we had first played a couple of games of mancola before a game of chess. At 12:00 I then met Dan in the lobby. He had taken me back to camp. At 1:35 I had arrived at camp. I had quickly taken a shower thus getting ready to go to Pine Tree Orthopedics to buy a new pair of sneakers. I have been having my sneakers custom made for years. The guy doing it retired and sold his business, so now I have a new outlet. The sneakers seem to be comfortable so far. I had left camp with my mother at 1:55. We had arrived at Pine Tree Orthopedic Lab in Jay at 2:30. Once I had the paper work filled out so that it could be kept on file, Micheal then fitted me for a pair of orthopedic shoes. He then said to try them out for a month, if they do not work we will custom make you a pair. We then left for camp at 3:30. On our way home we had made a couple stops before arriving at camp at 4:30. Once inside my camp I had called United Wheelchair so as to cancelle my transportation for Monday. I then pulled up my blog and began to type in todays entry.
