I began my day this morning at 5:30 a.m. by doing the stretching routine. Once I had finished stretching I was a little tired so I went back to sleep for an hour. I then got up to eat breakfast and get ready for my 8:15 P.T. appointment with Jerad and Audrey. Jerad first had me walking outside with my cane on the grass. After my walk outside Audry then took me inside to walk and do some leg exercizes within the paralelle bars on a piece of foam while trying to walk heel toe without holing on to the rails to work on my balance. At 9:30 Cathy one of the RN'S on duty took my vitals. At 9;45 John the med tech gave me some asprin for my headache. At 10:00 Chaplan Dan stopped by to take me out on the patio in my wheelchair to play cribbage. Once we had each won a game I then went inside for my O.T. Session with Jason at noon. Today I spent my time in the kitchen making my lunch with Jason. I had made macaroni n cheeze and a tuna melt. When trying to multi task I had run into a few difficulties like forgetting to turn the burner off. Once I had eaten my lunch I then worked on picking up the kitchen. Loading and unloading the dishwasher and wiping down the cupboards. At 1:15 during my speech session with Lyn we went to Itunes to down load another song onto my computer then onto my iphone. Once Lyn had left I then lied down to rest. At 3:15 I then filled out my daily menue. I then talk to my grandmother before going to the dining room to eat dinner with the other patience. It has taken me a while but I now feel comfortable going to eat with others. At 5:15 I went back to my room to stretch. I then talked to my parents on the phone Before starting a load of laundry. Once it was folded and put away I called it a day.
Troy, does the doctor think your headaches will go away? I don't know if this is something common after a stroke, but it must be difficult trying to focus on the demands of O.T., P.T., etc., when you have a headache.
ReplyDeleteWill be praying for you, my friend ~ Hope you enjoy your weekend.
