Dad taking me to WestSide
I began my Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. by making my bed. I then preceded to do my stretching. still taking it easy with the weights and cycling until further told by my doctor to do otherwise. Once I had finished with my stretching, I then took my shower thus getting ready for my day ahead. At 7:20 I then made my way out into the kitchen to have some pancakes for breakfast. At 7:45 I then returned to my bathroom to brush my teeth. I then sat down to watch the news at 8:00 while waiting for United to arrive to bring me to Westside. At 9:30 my mother had called United to ask about my ride and when it was to arrive. There seemed to be a mix up and I was not scheduled. So my father having the day off from work today took me to Lewiston. We had arrived to Westside at 11:00 a.m. Just on time for my first therapy. I had made my way into the conference room for laughter therapy. Today Paul, jarred, Denise, Alisa, and First talked about the benefits of laughter after having a brain injury. It lowers your endorphins. We then did some laughter yoga. We first did the laughter song. Did you know? "Laughter yoga can change your mood within minutes by releasing endorphins from your brain cells. If you mood is good, you are at your best. You do everything well. At 12:00 I had gone to the dining area to eat my lunch. At 12:30 I then went to the lobby to wait for my speech session with Carina. She had come to the lobby to eat get me before going to her office. Carina had first spoke to me about breathing with my stomach and keeping my shoulders relaxed. We then went walking out in the hallway at Westside, while practicing my breathing. At 1:00 my father had picked me up. We had arrived home at 2:15. I then went on line to play words until 3:00. I then took my shower before going out into the kitchen to talk with my mother. At 3:30 I then had a plate of spaghetti for dinner. I was then in my bedroom typing my blog at 4:00.
