"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME"
I began this Tuesday morning on the day of my birthday by getting up at 5:00 a.m. to do some light stretching. Since my seizure I have been given orders by my doctor's to take it easy for a while. That means no Physical Therapy and no yoga at Westside either. At 5:30 I then went out into the kitchen to eat a bowl of hot cereal and a toasted English muffin. At 6:00 I then returned to my bedroom to brush my teeth, shower, and to get ready for the day ahead. Once I had cleaned my bathroom, I then did some laughter therapy. At 6:50 I then did my speech and breathing exercises. After doing so, I then grabbed my lunch and duffle bag and went to the door to wait for United to arrive. Larry had picked me up at 7:45, we then went to get Donald. Upon my arrival to West Side for 9:00 a.m. I had been given a new schedule for the day. Do to the seizure I had, my doctors do not want me doing anything strenuous until notified otherwise. From 9:00-10:00 I usually have yoga group. Instead this morning I had first met with my case manager Piper. She had let me know that I would not be doing physical therapy or any other strenuous activity. I then went to the lobby to wait for 10:00 a.m. At 10:00 I then went to the gym to meet Dan for physical therapy. Today Dan and I did some cognitive based activity. We actually went on line to do games for the brain. In doing so I matched tiles while being timed. At 11:00 I then had a break. During this time I had gone out to the lobby to sit with other clients who were waiting for there next therapy. At 11:00 I had met with Piper in the hall way. We could not find a room that was available. We just talked while walking around. We talked about my headaches and my seizure I had. I then had a nursing session with Sally. We spoke about how to go about getting the restrictions taken off so I can do Physical therapy. At 2:20 United then took me home. I had arrived home at 2:20 thus going straight to bed. I had slept until 5:00 before getting up. I first took a shower, before speaking to my grandmother on the telephone. She had called to wish me a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" At 5:30 my mother helped me fill my pills. I then had dinner at 5:00. AT 5:40 I then opened some Birthday cards and had some cake with my parents.
