Struggling to make it through the day
My Tuesday morning actually began last night waking at 11:00 p.m. to what felt like having a seizure. I was sick to my stomach, nausea feeling, and my bed spinning. Once the seizure past, my vision stayed blurry until 12:45. At 1:41 I then finally felt safe to stand up and get out of bed. I then took two Tylenol. I was then finally able to relax and go back to sleep. I did so until 6:00 a.m. I then finally put my feet on the floor at 6:10 fixing myself a cup of hot cocoa with some fruit. At 6:30 I then had a bowl of hot cereal with half of an english muffin. Once I hd finished eating, I then washed my dishes and picked up. At 6:40 I then made my my bed. After doing so, I had brushed my teeth and shaved. At 7:08 I then called United Wheelchair to see what time I would be picked up this morning, 9:45. At 7:10 I the began to do my stretches that have helped me each morning since having my last stroke. At 7:20 I began to do my back stretches. And 7:30 I then shaved and took my shower. At 7:50 I then put a heat pack on my back for ten minutes. At 8:00 I then put in my eye and nose drops before using my inhaler. I then packed my knapsack with my ssnow shoeing equipment. At 8:10 I then cracked my ice trays so as to make some ice. Once they were filled and put back in the freezer. I then listened to my book while waiting. Feeling a tired from the seizure I had last night, I was skeptical on long my day way last. At 9:50 Annie had arrived to take me to WestSide. Upon my arrival to WestSide at 10:00 I then went to Tobie's office for my recreational therapy session. We first did a mindfulness practice. Tobie then helped me find and down load a relaxation app. We then set it up so it sends me a reminder each morning to do a practice. At 11:00 I then went to Nurse Sally's office for my nursing session. I had started the session by letting her know of the seizure I had last night. Still feeling tired, I struggled to cary out the rest of the nursing session. We had called Dr. Selvitelis office to let her know of the seizure that I had. Sally then had me go to a empty treatment room so as to rest while waiting for her to take me back to my apartment. At that point I knew my afternoon snow shoeing activity would be canceled for this week. At 12:00 Nurse Sally came to get me. She had taken me back to my apartment. At 12:10 we had arrived. She had helped me in with my things before leaving. I then ate my lunch and watch what was left of the news before calling my mother. At 12:40 I then brushed my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept from 12:45-4:30 before waking. Once I had taken a shower, I had taken my laundry to the laundry room so as to start a wash on my way to the village green to eat. Once I had done so, I then put my laundry in the dryer on my way back to my apartment. I then got comfortable before pulling up my blog and typing of my day.
