A meeting with dbvi, Iris Network, and Neuro Restorative
My Wednesday morning began at 4:00 a.m. by taking two tylenol for some leg pain that I woke from where I wait my Ankle Foot Orthotic. At 5:30 I then ate my fruit while drinking a cup of hot cocoa. At 5:45 I then had a bowl of oat meal with an english muffin. Once I had finished eating, I then shaved before taking a shower, so as to get ready for the day ahead. Once I was dressed, I then made my bed. At 6:3 I then did my constant therapy. After doing my back stretches, I soon grabbed my things and was on my way at 7:30. I arrived at Neuro Restorative at 9:00 Once inside the building, I had gone to the conference room for a meeting with the Iris Network, The devision of the blind, and my O.T.'s from Neuro Restorative and Cathy the director from Neuro Restorative. We discussed ways that Neuro Restorative can help me meet my goals that have been set for me to become more independent that the Iris Network and the Devision of the Blind have set for me. Once the meeting was done, a talk about a team meeting would so be set up. At 10:30 I then typed yesterday's blog entry. At 11:00 During Neuro Group With Dan and Keileigh we did some trivia. At 1:15 I then went to the gym for my P.T. Session with Dan. I first began my session on the Nu Step for fifteen minutes. I then went into the parallel bars to do some leg exercises along with some balance exercises. At 2:00 during my O.T. Session with Laurie, We discussed my meeting this morning and how the devision of the blind and visually impaired can help me get a cell phone. Samantha said that she would get me one that would be a good fit for me and my vision. Laurie will help workout meal prep strategies with me. Laurie and I then spoke about contrast. We spoke about the seps in our home and how we have white tape on the last step. We also spoke about pouring liquids. We also spoke about strategies that I had learned in the past, like putting my hands in front of my face to avoid bumping my head into things, trailing against the wall while walking, and gathering items before cooking a mea. At 3:00 I meet Kevin from United Wheelchair in the lobby and he took me home. I arrived home 4:30. Once I had eaten my salad and dinner, I then took a shower to get comfortable for the evening before pulling up my blog and typing of my day.
