Walking in the mall with Casey
I began my Friday morning by getting up at 5:30 a.m. to do my weight and stretching workout. After doing so I then took my shower before going out to the kitchen. Once I was out there I had eaten my breakfast. After doing so I had returned to my bathroom to brush my teeth. I then grabbed my knapsack and out the door I went. Dan from United then took me to WestSide. Upon my arrival I had brought my knapsack down to the kitchen to put in my locker. After doing so, I had gone back up to the lobby to wait. Casey and Michelle then brought the clients in the Walking to Wellness group to the Auburn Mall to do some walking. While walking in the mall, Casey had me form a pattern to my breathing. I was having a hard time and would forget to during some points during the walk. I think it is that I concentrate so much on my balance and mobility, that I forget to breath. So Casey had me breathing in every two steps then exhale every two step. Before we entered the mall Casey said, "Oh, I forgot the gate belt. Ha Ha for those of you who know the gate belt story of while I was receiving rehab while staying at d'youville. At 11:00 Once we were back to WestSide, I had gone to the gym for stretching group. During group Courtney and Michelle, each client named about three different types of stretches before the group had ended at 12:00. I then went to take a shower before lunch. Today Cafe Group was serving a grilled chicken sandwich with tomato and lettuce, with home made tortilla chips sprinkled with cinnamon. For dessert we had strawberries and cut up apples. Once I had finished eating Dan from United took me home. I had slept all the way. Once I had entered my bedroom at 2:00 I slept another two more hours, awoken by a telephone call at 4:00. I then spoke a friend before calling my grandmother. I then sat down to blog before dinner.
