working on balance with Alex
I began my Tuesday morning at 5:00 a.m. by jumping out of bed to do my upper weight exercises. I then strapped on my ankle weights, I then started to do my leg raises standing and laying down. Once I had finished with my weights I then began to stretched. At 5:50 I then took my shower thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 6:15 I then made my way into the kitchen to eat a toasted bagel with some fruit. After I had brushed my teeth, I had grabbed my knapsack and my lunch and out the door I went. I had arrived to WestSide at 9:00 a.m. Once I had put my lunch in my locker, I then made my way to the conference room for Yoga Group. Mat and Michelle had us first follow a thirty seconds gentle seated yoga work out. At 10:00 during my P.T. session with Alex, I walked downstairs in the hall stepping over obstacles, picking up cones as I walked by them. At 10:30 the fun began. Alex and I played a game Uno while standing in the parallel bars. What made the card game theraputic I was standing on an erix cushion and Alex stood on the bosu ball. both use for balance training. To make things interesting each time we touched the bar to regain balance we had to pick up a card. At 11:00 I then had my case management session with Piper, thus talking about my therapy. At 11:15 I then took my shower before resuming therapy. At 11:30 during my nursing session with Sally, we discussed upcoming doctor appointments. At 12:00 I then made my way to the kitchen to eat my lunch with others. At 12:30 I then had a support session with Deb. I had spoke to Deb about some of the upcoming therapy I am thinking of doing in the next six months. I then stated my goals I had come up with. We then worked on skype. At 1:00 I then went to the lobby to go home. I had spoke to Sue before leaving. I had arrived home at 2:25. Once inside, I had slipped into something more comfortable before laying down to rest. I had slept from 2:30-5:15 before getting up to eat my dinner. After doing so I returned to my bedroom to blog.
