Presenting a poem to Maria on her last day
My Wednesday morning began on this day at 5:00 a.m. by getting out of bed to stretch. Once I had completed my routine, I then preceded to strap on my ankle weights, so as to work my legs. I then preceded to work my upper body. After doing so, I then took my shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead. I then went out into the kitchen so as to eat my breakfast. After a bowl of cereal and english muffin, with some fruit, I then returned to my bedroom to brush my teeth. I then grabbed my knapsack and lunch and off to therapy I went. Upon my arrival to West Side, I had put my lunch into and clothing into my locker before making my way back upstairs to meet with Maria, which was to be our last counseling session. We had first spoke about our time meeting for the past two in years and where I should go from here with counseling. I then gave the poem I had written for her, so as to say good-bye and to wish her the best. Once we had ended our last session, I then had made my way to the conference room At 10:00 I then had met Sandy in the gym for my P.T. session. I first had walked thirty minutes on the treadmill. After walking .97 miles I then went in the parallel bars, standing on an erix pad so as to challenge my balance. While doing so, we had played cribbage. At 11:00 I then went to the conference room for Brain Injury Education Group. Today we had reviewed how our presentation went the other day with the scrub club at Franklin Memorial Hospital with Deb and Michelle. The group size seem to be a problem for us. Everyone wanted to do the activities, but we only had so much time. We then seem to have left some instruction back at WestSide explaining how to do some of the activities. A lesson that the group and learn from. At 11:35, we then retrieved the box with the activities, so as to go through to organize. We had folded and packed shirts, fixed glasses, and made a to do list. At 12:00 I then made my way down to the kitchen to eat lunch. After doing so, I had taken a shower. At 1:00 I had gone to the conference room for support group. Today was Maria's last day. So we had a fuit platter as we shared our final thoughts. At 2:00, I then had speech with Susan. During this hour, Susan first started off with the vital stem. First with my throat then with my lip. She then spoke to me about bumping up our time to two hours per week, so as to work on my response time while participating in group therapy. At 3:00 I then had a support session with Deb. Today we first looked on amazon so as to see about publishing poetry. We then spoke about what I will be doing with sue during speech to help me during groups. I then left for home. I had arrived home at 5:00 thus getting myself comfortable. I then went out into the kitchen to eat dinner. At 5:48 I then went back to my bedroom to call my grandmother. At 6:00 I then began to blog.
