Talking about vision durin Brain Injury Education Group

My Wednesday morning began on this day at 5:30 a.m. by going out into the kitchen to eat some fruit with fruit dip. As I was doing so I had drank my hot cocoa. At 6:00 I had returned to my bedroom to stretch. Once I had shaved, I then began my weight workout, first my upper body, then strapping on my ankle weights to work my legs. At 6:30 I then had taken my shower before going out into the kitchen at 6:50 to eat a bowl of cereal with a toasted english muffin. Once I had finished eating, I had returned to my bedroom, so as to brush my teeth. Once I had cleaned my bathroom, I had grabbed my knapsack and my lunch and out the door I went. United Wheelchair had me at WestSides doorstep at 9:20 a.m. Just enough time to put my lunch in my locker before my counseling session with Maria. After a brief recap of my week and how things were going, I had met Sandy in the gym for my P.T. session. I had first walked thirty minutes on the treadmill. I then stood on the erix pad in the parallel bars, while playing a game of cribbage with Sandy. At 11:00 I then had made my way to the conference room for Brain Injury Education Group. Today the group had informed Lauri who was covering for Michelle on what the group was up to with our next presentation with the scrub club at Franklin Memorial Hospital on Tuesday June 23rd. We then talked about our visual simulations using the glassed we had made. Lauri being an Occupational Therapist had some good pointers. We also put together handouts for our presentation. At 12:00 I then went to the dining area to eat my lunch. After doing so, I had taken a shower before going to support group at 1:00. Today's quote we had discussed with Maria and Deb was, "Love will draw an elephant through a key hole." Other topics discussed in support group today wer around fishing and gardening. At 2:00 I then had my speech session with Susan. Susan had first hooked my throat area up to the stem cell machine. She then turned it on slowly putting it up to level 13.5 for thirty minutes. She also had made suggestions to me today, taking my pills with pudding or apple sauce. We then went over tongue exercises. Susan with bring me in worksheets Friday for me to use. It suppose to strengthen my tongue. Susan then read me story about a cat. I was to keep track of how many times she had said the word cat while crossing off all even numbers on a paper filled with numbers while I listened to the story. At 3:00 I then met with Deb. During a support session, Deb and I Emailed The Department of inland and fisheries to explain to them that I had lost my fishing licence when my father and our friend Jim moved my things out of the apartment I had ben living in at the time of my stroke. At 3:30 Larry from United took me home. I had arrived home at 4:44, thus going inside to get comfortable before sitting down to eat my salad, corn cob and Captain's Casarole. I then returned to my bedroom at 5:47 to blog before calling grandma.
