Talking to an orthopedic
My Tuesday morning began at 9:00 a.m. by calling the receptionist at WestSide Neurorehabilitation Services to let her know that I would not be coming in today. I then went into the main camp so as to eta some fruit with fruit dip while drinking my hot cocoa. After doing so, I then had a bowl of cereal with toast. I then went back into my camp once I had finished eating so as to brush my teeth and shave. At 9:44 I then had made my bed before laying down to ice my ankle. I then called my doctors office and talked to an operator and told her my dilemma. The nurse had called me back a few minutes later so as to let me know If I would like to see an orthopedic. I said yes. She then set up an appointment for later in the day. Ithen put some clean laundry away before taking in some air and putting in my eye and nose drops. At 10:33 The orthopedic office had called to let me know of the time I could be seen. At 10:55 I then filled my empty pill containers. At 11:00 I had order my script before starting in with my back stretches at 11:20. I then preceded to do my stroke recovery stretches before working my upper body. At 12:15 I then had eaten lunch. After doing so, I then took a shower, thus getting ready to go the doctors. I had left camp at 2:28 For Franklin Memorial Hospital. Upon my arrival at orthopedics, the nurse had brought me into a room so as to take my blood pressure and pulse. I then met with a phisions assistant. He then orders me to have an x-ray of my foot. He then looked at the x-ray and said that I had a contusion. He let me know to just keep doing what I was doing by icing it and keep it elevator. No restrictions. On my way home, I had called United Wheelchair to make sure I am being picked up tomorrow. Upon my arrival to camp at 3:40, I had put on some comfortable clothing before watching a movie while icing my ankle. At 5:00 I then went into the main camp so as to sit on the deck with my parents before eating dinner at 5:30. At 6:30 I then returned to my camp so as to type in todays blog entry before calling it a day.
