Watching everyone leave for Pine Tree Camp
My Tuesday Moring began at 5:00 a.m. by getting out of bed so as to do my back stretches. At 5:20 I then continued my Moring with my stretching that I have been doing since my stroke to help with my stroke recovery. At 5:36 I had then shaved before taking my shower. Once I was ready for the day, I then went into the Main camp so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. I then had my bowl of cereal with a toasted bagel. Once I had finished eating, I then retunred to my camp so as to brush my teeth. Once I had my eye and nose drops in, I then soat down to read at 6:30 while waiting for United Wheelchair to arrived. They had done so at 7:00 a.m. I had arrived at WestSide Neurorehabilitation Services at 8:15. As I was getting out of the United Wheelchair Van, I saw Nurse Sally in the parking lot. She was getting ready to go to Pine Tree Camp with other staff and clients. She had yelled to me, “Your not going to Pine Tree Camp are you Troy?” “No, not this year.” I replied. Probably not any other year either for that mater. I Use to get involved before this last stroke I had and enjoyed events like this one, but somehow lost interest during my recovery. Once inside WestSide Pat at the front desk with her chin resting on her right palm greeteing me by saying, Are you sad you’re not going to pine tree camp with a side of sarcasm. She new that I was not fond of those special events. At 9:15 I had met with Priyadarshi for counseling. Once we had finished chatting, I had taken a five minute break before meeting with Priyadarshi again for Tai Chi. I was the only client there, because the others had gone to Pine Tree Camp. Using during this, I had recreational therapy with Tobie but she was at Pine Tree Camp too. Priyadarshi and I had gone outside to exercise and work on balance while making tai chi moves. At 11:00 I had gone to the arts and crafts room for expressive arts. Today we discussed our next project with Corina using mason jars. At 12:00 I had met my driver in the lobby. I had arrived at camp at 1:30. Once I had eaten my lunch, I then went into my camp at 2:00 so as to brush my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept until 5:00 before waking. I then went into the main camp so as to eat dinner with my parents. After doing so I then retunred to my camp at 5:43 so as to take a shower before pulling up my blog.
