Meeting Kim
My Thursday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my latest stroke recovery and still do to this day. I then preceded to do my back stretches before cycling for twenty minutes. At 5:48 I then returned to my bedroom so as to shave and take my shower, so as to get ready for the day ahead. At 5:10 I then went into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip while drinking my hot cocoa. I then had an egg sandwich. At 6:30 I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before taking in some air. I then grabbed my knapsack and lunch and met United Wheelchair in my driveway at 7:30. I had arrived at WestSide Neurorehab at 9:00 a.m. During my rehab session with Kala I had continued to work on my beeding project. Dan then came to get me to go outside at 9:45 along with a coupel of other clients who are prone to having seizures. He was getting ready to have a fire drill and the noise could give us seizures. We then went back inside so as to take a video of me walking so as to post on Facebook. At 10:00 During Healthy Brain Group Sally and Jamie had us doing a cross word puzzle on Line. At 11:00 I had stopped by Nancy’s office to let her know the time and date of my tour of the immersion program. I then went to a treatment room for my rehab session with Jamie. Today during my rehab session with Jamie we had played two games of mancola and two games of battle ship. I then went to the lobby so as to eat my lunch. At 12:30 I then had met with Caitlyn at WestSide. She had introduced me to Kim. The new orientation & mobility instructor that I will be working with when Caitlyn leaves. Caitlin had me do some training with Kim and showing her what I have learned thus far. At 1:00 I then met my United WheelChair Driver in th lobby. I had arrived. Home at 2:00 p.m. I had gone strait to my bedroom to lay down to rest. I had already eaten my lunch, so I was set to go. I had slept from 1:20-4:00 before waking. I then took a shower before eating dinner. I then returned to my bedroom at 4:47 so as to put some clean laundry away before pulling up my blog so as to type of my day.

Using landmarks to find my way
My Wednesday morning began at 4:50 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do my stretches that I had learned to help me during my stoke recovery. At 5:12 I had preceded to do my back stretches. Once I was loosened up, I then cycled for twenty minutes. At 5:50 I had finished my workout. Once I had shaved and shower, I had gone into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. I then had a toasted bagel with strawberry cream cheese. At 6:00 I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth I then toook my first puff of my inhaler before putting in my eye and nose drops. I then took my second puff before grabbing my knapsack. I had meet the united Wheelchair driver Buzzy in my driveway at 7:40. Upon my arrival to WestSide, Mindy had given me a blown up copy of the chart that I am to use to keep track of my flow vent recordings. At 9:00 I then went to Nancy’s office for visually impaired group. I spent the first ten minutes emailing Tim my case manager for the devision of the blind on me getting a tour of the immersion program. Then the other visually impaired client shared that she would be moving soon. We then both talked to Nancy about our service plans that we had both agreed to share the information on our goals and plan of action about one another. At 10:00 during my rehab session with Jamie we had played a game of chess then mancola. At 11:00. I then spoke about setting up a g-mail account so as to get a cell phone used with pre paid calling cards. At 12:00 I then had eaten my lunch in the lobby before meeting with Caitlyn at 1:00. We first went to a treatment room to talk. She then size me up for a longer white Cain. She then took me out into the community to practice walking. Before doing so she had given me a new pair of grippers. It is all part of the program. I thought that was a good deal. We then practiced walking on the sidewalks of Lewiston and Auburn on Icy sidewalks. While doing so I had worked on using and remembering landmarks to find my way back. We then went to Main Street and Lisbon street into different stores. ride would not be leaving until 4:00 so she had taken me to Lewiston High School. She and my case worker Tim were doing a talk. Tim had given me a date and time of my tour of the immersion program before leaving. One the way back to WestSide we had stopped at the career cent so Caitlin could pick me up a longer white Cain. I had finally had left WestSide at 3:00 and did not arrived. Home until 5:00. Once I had taken a shower I had eaten dinner before pulling my blog.

Gettin things straightened out with my new inhaler during my nursing session with Sally
I began my Tuesday morning at 6:00 a.m. I had a little extra time to sleep in, do to losing the power last night. We had experienced high winds that knocked tree limbs down. In doing so, it had knocked a power line down right outside my dooryard. I had put off the morning workout for obvious reasons. Once I washed my face and combed my hair, I then got dressed. I then went into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. Then had a bowl of cereal with a blueberry muffin. Once I had finished eating, I then had brush my teeth. I then used my inhaler before putting in my eye and nose drops. I then grabbed my knapsack and met Buzzy the United Wheelchair driver who would be taking me to WestSide Neurorehab. Upon my arrival for 8:25 I had gone to the client lounge to sit and wait. I then went to Priyadarshi’s office so as to talk about my week. We had spoke about my programming with the devision of the blind, and maybe going to the conversion program sooner then later might be a better option so as to speed up the process. At 10:00 I then went to Tobie’s office for recreational therapy. Today we began to make pictures frames from the popsicle sticks. Tobie then sent photos of the ice fishing trip I had gone on with her and two others a couple of weeks ago by email. At 11:00, I then went to the nurses station for Nursing with Sally. We first called Dr. Seally’s office to speak to her nurse to let her know that my insurance will not cover the new inhaler that she prescribed. She then let me know that she would call tomorrow to let me know if she could get the new inhaler approved. Sally and I then went over my medications. Sally then took my blood pressure. 124 over 68. At 12:00 I had gone into the lobby so as to meet Lou the United Wheelchair Driver who would be taking me home. I had arrived. Home at 1:00 with the power still being out. My father had picked me lunch to eat while he was out and about earlier. Once I had finished eating, I then sat and watched the power company fix the power lines. We finial had our power back at 3:00 p.m. I then began to do my stroke stretches at 3:20. At 3:30 I then shaved before doing my back stretches. At 4:00 I then had taken a shower before going out into the kitchen for a bowl of soup. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedoom at 5:05 so as to type in today’s blog entry.

Playing checkers with Marie during a rehab session
My Monday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that have helped during my last stroke. I then continued to stretch by doing my back stretches. Once I was loosened up, I then took my first puff of my Flovent inhaler. At 5:30 I then cycled for twenty minutes. At 5:55 I had completed my workout. I then went back to my bedroom so as to take the second puff of my inhaler At 6:00 I had shaved before taking my shower. Once I was ready for the day ahead, I had gone into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit, dipped into yogurt. I then toasted a bagel to have with strawberry cream cheese. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom so as to continue to get ready for my day. I had left the house at 7:30. Upon my arrival to WestSide Neurorehab at 9:15 I had gone to the conference room for the rest of newsletter group. I had emailed the articles to Carina that I had already written to be put in the newsletter. I then continued to work on the articles that I have left to write about. The beginning of baseball season and St. Patricks Day. At 10:00 during my rehab session with Marie I had played three games of checkers. At 11:00 during geniology group I went on the apt so as to continue to look up my ansesters. This week I have to find out the birth day of my grandparents on my mothers side. At 12:00 I then went to the lobby so as to leave for home. I had arrived home at 1:30 after dropping another client off along the way. Once inside the house I had eaten my lunch. I then went to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept from 2:00-5:500 before waking. I had taken a shower before going into the kitchen so as to have a bowl of soup. I then returned to my bedroom at 5:30 so as to pull up my blog and type of my day.

Medication not approved yet
My Sunday morning began at 8:45 a.m. by making my bed. I then began to do the stretches that have helped daily since having my last stroke. At 9:10 I then called the pharmacy so as to see if my new inhaler was in. They had let me know that my insurance as of now will not cover the cost of the inhaler sinvacourt. The pharmasist said that they and my doctor are still trying to work things out. At 9:15 I then preceded to do my back stretches. Once I was all loosened up, I then went back into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt. I then had eaten my breakfast. After doing so, I had returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. At 10:13 I then took the first puff of my inhaler. I then cycled for for twenty minutes while waiting to take my sencond puff. At 10:40 I then had taken a shower thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 11:00 I then began to write another article for the news letter. At 11:36 I then began to feel a little tired, so I had layed down to rest. I had slept until 3:00 before waking. I then spoke to a friend who had called before doing some reading. I gotten pulled up my blog and began to type of my day before eating dinner.

waiting twenty minutes in between puffs
My Saturday morning began 9:30 a.m. by going into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip while drinking my hot cocoa. After doing so, I then returned to my bedroom at 10:07 so as to make my bed. At 10:12 I then began to do the stretches that had helped me during my latest stroke and still do to this day. At 10:30 I then went into the kitchen so as to eat some scambled eggs with a toasted blueberry muffin. At 10:40 I then went back to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth and shave. I then put in my eye and nose drops before taking the first puff of my inhaler. My doctor wants me to wait twenty minutes between each puff with my Flovent inhaler. At 10:50 I then cycled for twenty minutes . That worked out just perfect in between puffs. I then returned to my bedroom so as to take my second puff. At 11:15 I then finished doing my stretches that have helped me during my stroke. At 11:30 I then began to do my back stretches. At 11:35 I then strapped on my ankle weights and began to do my leg exercises. At 11:40 I had taken a shower. Once I was ready for the rest of my day, I then sat down at 12:12 so as to fill my empty pill containers. At 12:40 I then laid down to rest. As I was laying there at 1:06 I had experienced a sour taste in my mouth. I then felt a quick sick feeling to my stomach up into my mouth. I new at that moment that it was a sign of a small seizure. Once it had past, I then continued to rest. At 2:30 I then watched Sunday Mass on line. I then made my move in words with friends before watching a movie. At 4:20 I then got up so as to check my e-mail. I then checked my google docs to see what articles that I had already had written for the newsletter. At 4:50 I then went into the kitchen so as to eat dinner. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom at 5:17 so as to take a shower before pulling up my blog, so as to type of my day.

Appointment with Dr. Seally six month checke up for my asthma
My Friday morning began at 7:30 a.m. by taking the sheets off of my my bed. I then brought them and the rest of my laundry to the laundry room. Once I had started a wash, I then returned to the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped in yogurt while drinking my hot cocoa. At 8:00 I then returned to the laundry room so as to fold some laundry that was in the dryer. At 8:10 Ithen went back to the kitchen so as to have a bowl of cereal with a toasted half bagel. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to the laundry room so as to put the laundry in the dryer before starting another load of laundry. At 8:22 I then went back to the kitchen so as to pick up the kitchen from breakfast before returning to my bedroom at 8:28 so as to brush my teeth. I then pout my clean laundry away. At 8:44 I then made my bed thus using clean sheets. I now have new instructions on how to use my Flovent inhaler. My doctor wants me to take two puffs. Take the first puff then wait twenty minutes and take the second puff. So that is what I did. I took my first puff at 8:54 cycled for twenty minutes. At 9:15 I then folded some more laundry that was in the dryer. I then put a load that was in the washer in the dryer. At 9:22 I then took the laundry that I had folded and put it away. At 9:35 I then took the second puff of my inhaler. I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my last stroke. At 10:00 I then went back to the laundry room at 10:00 so as to fold the laundry that had dried in the dryer. Once I had put the third load of laundry away, I then preceded to do my back stretches. At 10:20 I then shaved before taking my shower, thus getting ready to go with my mother once she had arrived home from work. We had left the house at 12:10. Our first stop was at Wal-Mart. I had gift cards to use from Christmas.Plus I had an ongoing list of things that I needed. We then made one more stop before going to my doctors appointment for my six month asthma checkup. Could not have been at a better time so that my doctor could witness my voice being horse and scratchy sounding she had asked me if it was soor, and I replied, “no.” The nurse first took my blood pressure 112 over 66 then had me stepping on the scale. My weight was 193. She said I had lost three pounds. Keep up the cycling and maybe I will lose more. I sure do miss those morning eight mile runs I use to be able to do. The doctor then switched me over to an inhaler caled sinvacourt, so as to get rid of the hoarseness in my voice hopefully. At 1:64 we then left the doctors office. We then had stopped off at the phantom at 2:00 on the way home to see if my new inhaler was in. We had arrived home at 2:30. Once the car was unpacked, I had eaten some lunch, before laying down to rest. I then returned to my bedroom so as to put on my jams and a t-shirt brushing my teeth. I then layed down to rest. I had slept from 3:00-5:30 before waking. I then took a shower before pulling up my blog so as to type of my day.

Shoveling one again
My Thursday morning began at by having another snow day at home away from going to therapy. Knowing that, I had slept in until 9:15. Once I was up, I had taken my laundry to the laundry room so as to start a wash. After doing so, I had gone to the kitchen to drink my hot cocoa while eating some fruit. At 9:45 I then had some blueberry muffins for breakfast. Once I had finished eating, I had returned to my bedroom at 9:53 so as to brush my teeth. I used my inhaler before putting in my eye and nose drops. At 10:00 once I had picked up the kitchen, I then started the dishwasher. I then returned to my bedroom so as to make my bed. At 10:15 I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my last stroke. AT 10:30 I then went back to the laundry room so as to fold the laundry in the dryer. I then continued to do my stretches. At 10:50 I then clean my bathroom before returning to the laundry room to start another load of laundry. While it was washing, I had cycled for twenty minutes. I had finished cycling at 11:15. I had returned to my bedroom at 11:18 so as to do my back stretches. At 11:30 I then went back to the laundry room so as to fold laundry that was in the dryer. I then put the load in the washer in the dryer. At 11:40 I then brought my laundry back to my bedroom so as to put it away. At 11:55 I then went out onto the main deck so as to shovel more snow. After an hours worth of shoveling, I had gone inside at 12:55 so as to to eat lunch. I then returned to my bedroom at 1:12 so as to brush my teeth. At 1:20 I had shaved before taking my shower. At 1:35 I then layed down to rest. I had slept until 4:40 before waking. I then went into the kitchen so as to eat a plate of spaghetti. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom so as to bring up my blog so as to type of my day.

Sharing my goals with a friend
My Wednesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my stroke recovery. At 5:25 I then began to do my back stretch. Once I was loosened up, I then cycled for twenty minutes before returning to my bedroom at 6:00 a.m. so as to shave and take my shower. At 6:25 I then went into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped in yogurt. I then had a bowl of cereal with a half toasted english muffin. At 6:40 I then retunred to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before taking in some air just in the nick of time. Buzzy the United Wheelchiar driver had arrived in my driveway at 7:00 a.m. We then went to pick up another client before arriving to WestSide at 9:00 a.m. I then went into Nancy’s office for visually impaired group. Today Nancy had the other client and I looking over our service plans and sharing information with one another with each other’s concent of course. At 10:00 During my rehab session with Jamie she and I had gone into the community. We had gone to the auburn mall so as to walk around, while I practiced using my white Cain. At 11:00 we were back at WestSide. I then went to Priyadarshi’s office for mindfulness group. Today we had first spoke about any experiences we have had over the week with meditation before actually doing one. During todays meditation Priyadarshi had us being aware of different parts of the body. At 1:00 I then went to the lobby so as to meet the United Wheelchair driver who would be taking me home. I had arrived home at 1:10. Once I had eaten my lunch, I then brushed my teeth before leaving the house with my mother. She first took me to the pharmacy so that I could pick up my scripts. She then took me to the chiropractor for a 3:00 p.m. appointment. After a couple of adjustment, Dr. Roberts said, “You're doing so well, I think we will go two months this time.” We then arrived home at 3:30. Once the car was unpacked, I had taken a shower. I then had a bowl of soup before calling my grandmother. At 4:25 I then pulled up my email to check before typing in todays blog entry.

Talking to Cec about adding a nursing session back onto my schedule
My Tuesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches I had learned to help me during my last stroke. At 5:15 then began to do my back stretcheches. Once I was all loosened up, I then cycle for twenty minutes. At At 5:52 I was then back in my bedroom shaving before taking my shower. Once I was ready for the day, I had gone back into the kitchen at 6:20 so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. At doing so, I then had a bowl of hot cereal with a toasted english muffin. At 6:35 I then retunred to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. Once I had my eye and nose drops in, I then used my inhaler. At 6:50 I then filled my empty pill containers At 7:00 I then grabbed my knapsack and met Buzz the United Wheelchair driver in my driveway. Ihad arrived at WestSide Neurorehab at 8:45. I had gone to the client lounge to wait to meet with Priyadarshi. He had asked me how my book was going, and how things are going with the devision of the blind. Now that I am using my white cane again, he was curious. At 10:00 during my rec therapy session, Tobie was out, so I had played cribbage with Ashly. At 11:00 I then met with Cec for Expressive Arts in the craft room. It was only me, so she wanted to touch base on my medical needs. She being a nurse after all. She also had asked if I would not mind turning this time into a nursing session so as to talk about my new medications to do with my seizures and the inhaler for my asthma that is helping, but caused my voice to go horse after each use morning and night. Although I do not notice it at night as much, because I am in bed. And then there is my rescue inhaler which I was just using until asthma became worse. Cec then called my doctors office so as to request that I try another inhaler. They said that they would call my house tomorrow with an answer. Cec also had asked me to bring in the list of my medications that I am now taking. Cec then took my blood pressure so as to wrap up the session. 120 over 76. We then looked up popcycle stick craft ideas on pintrist. I decided to make a bird feeder. At 12:00 I then went into the lobby so as to meet the United Wheelchiar driver who would be taking me home. Upon my arrival home at 1:00, I had put on something more comfortable before having a bowl of soup with kayl. I then brush my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept from 1:20-4:35 before waking. Once I had taken a shower, I then went into the kitchen so as to eat dinner. At 5:17 I then retunred to my bedroom so as to pull up my blog and to type of my day.

Another seizure yet to be recorded
My Monday morning began at 8:30 a.m. by going into the kitchen so a to drink a fruit smoothy while drinking My hot cocoa. After doing so, I then had eat my breakfast of two dropped eggs on toasted English muffin. At 9:00 I then retunred to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. Once I had shaved, I then put in my nose drops before taking in some air. At 9:13 I had put some clean laundry away before making my bed. At 9:25 I had began to do the stretches that have helped me during my last stroke. At 9:45 I then did my back stretches before cycling for twenty minutes. At 10:30 I then retunred to my bedroom so as to take a shower and get ready for the rest of my day. At 11:00 I then sat down to read some of the Sunday paper before laying down to rest at 11:30. I had slept until 12:10 before being I was awoken by the feeling of the bed spinning and a sour taste in my mouth. I new at that moment I wa experiencing signs and symptoms of having a siezure. Thank god I was laying down. Things could have been a lot worse. Once it had past, I had gone into the kitchen so as to have a cup of tea with a piece of toast. I then went back to my bedroom at 2:40 so as to type out the information in google docs on the document that I am keeping so as to give to my neurologist. At 3:00 I then watched a movie before eating some soup for dinner at 4:00. I then returned to my bedroom so as to pull up my blog and type of my day.

Writing articles for the WestSide newsletter
My Sunday morning began at 8:30 a.m. by cycling for twenty minutes. After doing so I had returned to my bedroom so as to make my bed. At 9:03 I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my last stroke. I then continued stretching by doing my back stretches. At 9:30 I then made my way into the kitchen so as to drink my hot cocoa while eating some fruit. After doing so, I then had a bowl of hot cereal with a toasted english muffin. At 9;57 I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth and shave. At 10:12 I then finished doing my back stretches. At 10:30 I then began to write my articles for the Westside newsletter. My first artle I had written was on St. Patricks Day. I then wrote my next article on P I Day. This holiday is held on March 14th and is has to do with math. At 12:00 I then took a shower, I then put in my eye and nose drops before taking in some air. At 12:18 I then lied down to rest. I then slept until 3:40 before waking. I then went into the kitchen so. As to eat dinner Before taking a shower at 4:20. I then watched a movie before calling it a day.

Shoveling after yet another storm
My Saturday morning began at 8:45 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my latest stroke recovery. At 9:00 I then went into the kitchen so as to drink my hot cocoa and to drink a fruit smoothly my father had made for me with all of the fruit in it that I would have eaten normally with fruit dip. My mother then had hade me some scrambled eggs with a toasted english muffin. Once I had finished eating, I then picked up the kitchen before returning to my bedroom at 9:30 so as to brush my teeth and shave. After doing so, I then put in my eye and nose drops before using my inhaler. At 9:45 I then filled my empty pill containers which by the way right now takes a lot of concentration since I have had my medications changed to help control my seizures. I then called the pharmacy to order a script. Once my pill containers were all filled, I put some clean laundry away. I then got ready to go outside so as to shovel another six inches of snow on both decks. I first shoveled the snow on the deck off my bedroom. For it being the smaller of the two decks I thought that it would be easier. At 11:03 I then went out onto the main deck to start shoveling. I did so until 12:00 noon. I then went back to my bedroom so as to take a shower. At 12:30 I then watched Sunday Mass for this weekend. At 1:00 I then brushed my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept until 4:00 before waking. I then had gone into the kitchen so as to eat dinner with my parents before returning to my bedroom at 5:00 so as to type in todays blog entry.

Painting event at WestSide
My Friday morning began at 7:50 a.m. by changing the sheets on my bed. Once my bed was made, I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my latest stroke. At 8:10 I then began a wash before cycling. I did so for twenty minutes I then went beck to my bedroom at 8:31 to finish my stretches that have help during my stroke recovery. At 8:38 I then began to do my back stretches. At 8:40 I then hung the laundry to dry. At 8:50 I then returned to my bedroom to finish my back stretches. At 9:00 I then went back into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt. I then had peanutter and honey on two pieces of toast before returning to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth and shave. Once I had taken my shower, I then listened to my audio book at 10:00 while waiting for United Wheelchair to arrive. I had arrived to WestSide at 12:10. We all then went to the kitchen for spaghetti and meatballs for lunch. Jamie, Ashly, Carol, and Adam then had us in the conference room painting on Canvis. We watched a tutorial on line showing us how to paint a black cat sitting on a tree branch looking at the moon. Painting most of the picture was fairly easy, but the cat was a little difficult. My ride was twenty-five minutes late so I did not get on the road going home until 3:25. I then arrived home at 5:30. Once inside, I had taken a shower before eating dinner. I then returned to my bedroom at 6:10 so as to type of my day.

Completing my project with Jamie
My Thursday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my latest stroke. At 5:20 I then began to do my back stretches. At 5:30 I then cycled for twenty minutes before returning to my bedroom so as to do another set of my back stretches. At 6:00 I then shaved before taking my shower. Once I was ready for the day ahead, I then went into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped in yogurt while drinking my hot cocoa. At 6:20 I then had a bowl of cereal with a muffin. Once I had finished eating, I had returned to my bedroom at 6:30 so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drop before using my inhaler. At 6:50 I then listened to my audio book while waiting for United Wheelchair to arrive. I was finally on my way at 7:30. We had to make a couple of pick Ups and drop offs along way before I had arrived. At 9:00 a.m. During my rehab session with Ashly, We continued the beeding project that I was working on. Ashly then ironed the beads to make them stick together, to make something like a flat plate. I then began to put beads into a circle. At 10:00 during Healthy Brain Group, Ashly and Jamie first had us playing red hearing. We then tried to answe questions to riddles. At 11:00 during my rehab session with Jamie, we had finished threading the yarn on my project that I had been making. We then played a couple of games of mancola. At 12:00 I then went into the lobby so as to meet the United Wheelchair driver who would be taking me home. I had to sit in the lobby for thirty minutes before leaving at 12:30. The driver had told me he had been running the shuttle and had to go get his regular van before taking me home. I had arrived home at 1:40. Once I was comfortable, I had eaten lunch. At 2:00 I had returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept from 2:00-5:10 before waking. I then went into the kitchen so as to eat dinner. I then returned to my bedroom at 5:25 to put some clean laundry away before taking a shower. At 5:45 I then pulled up my blog and began to type of my day.

Shoveling the deck
My Wednesday morning began at 8:45 a.m. I was able to sleep in due to yet another snow storm that canceled my day of therapy. I Began by taking pictures of my great grandparents that we have hanging on our wall in the hallway in our home. I will then take them to westside to add to the family tree app. AT 8:55 I had gone into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with yogurt while drinking my hot cocoa. At 9:10 I then had a bowl of cereal with a toasted blueberry scone. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom to brush my teeth. At 9:23 I then cycled for twenty minutes At 9:45 I then returned to my bedroom so as to do my stretches that have helped me in my last stroke. I then continued my workout with my back stretches. At 10:10 I then took my shower so as to take the sweat off me from my workout before going outside so as to shovel the deck. Once I had put my eye and nose drops in, I had used my inhaler before heading out onto the deck to start shoveling. It took me Two hours and twenty minutes to shovel the entire deck. I had finished shoveling at 12:00. I then went inside to my bedroom so as to do my back stretches once again. I then took a shower before going into the kitchen so as to have a sandwich for lunch. At 12:40 I had started the dishwasher once I had picked up the kitchen. I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then layed down to rest and slept from 12:45-4:45. I then went into the kitchen to eat dinner. I then returned to my bedroom so as to pull up blog and to type of my day.

Joining multicultural group
My Tuesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. I then began to do the stretches that had helped me during my most recent stroke. I then did my back stretches, before cycling for twenty minutes. At 6:00. I then returned to my bedroom so as to shave and to take my shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 6:20 I then went into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped in yougurt. After I had eaten a toasted blueberry muffin, I then returned to my bedroom at 6:40 to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before using my inhaler. I then grabbed my knapsack and went into my driveway so as to meet United Wheelchair at 7:10. I had arrived at WestSide Neurorehab at 9:00 a.m. I had gone to the client lounge so as to wait for my first therapy. At 9:15 I then went to Priyadarshi’s office to talk about the week that I had. At 10:00 I then went to Tobie’s office for my Recreational Therapy Session. Today Tobie continued to help me organize the organizer that she had given to me last week. We then reviewed how the ice fishing trip went. We then began to make my next popcycle stick project. A popcycle stick frame to put a picture in. At 11:00 I then went to the craft room for Expressive arts. Today Cec asked us if we would like to join multicultural group. Today Jamie had her group watching a video learning about India and the food they eat. At 12:00 I then went to the lobby so as to meet the United Wheelchair Driver that would be taking me home. I had arrived home at 1:10. Once inside, I had gone strait to my bedroom so as to put something more comfortable on before eating my lunch. At 1:30 I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then layed down to rest. I had slept from 1:30-4:50. Once I was up, I then had taken a shower. At 5:08 I then ate dinner before pulling up my blog, so as to type of my day.

My first day of Genealogy Groyp
My Monday morning began at 4:50 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then preceded to do the stretches that have helped during my latest stroke. At 5:10 I then began to do my back stretches. Once I was loosened up, I then cycled for twenty minutes. At 5:40 I had returned to my bedroom so as to shave and take my shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 6:10 I then went back into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt. I then had a bowl of hot cereal with a piece of toast. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom at 6:30 so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before using my inhaler. I then grabbed my knapsack and met United Wheelchair in my driveway at 7:30. Upon my arrival to WestSide Neurorehab at 9:00, I had gone to the conference room for newsletter group. Today we researched what was going on for the month March for holidays and events before chosing to write about them. I will be writing articles on St. Patricks Day, P I Day held on March 14. This has to do with Math. The beginning of baseball season on 3/20. I also have to write an article on my ice fishing experience and a poem. At 10:00 during my rehab session with Ashly, I had written the poem and a article on my ice fishing experience. At 11:00 on my first day of Genealogy group with Jessica, I had added a picture of my grandmother that I had in my photos. I now have to go home and look for pictures. At 12:00 I then left for home. I did not arrive home until 1:40 do to bringing home another client. Once I had eaten my lunch, I put on something comfortable before brushing my teeth. I then layed down to rest. I had seltpt from 2:00-5:00 before waking. I then took a shower before having a bowl of soup for dinner. I then pulled up my blog and typed of my day.

A visit to Bear Pond Village
My Sunday morning began at my Aunts and uncles house at 8:00 a.m. by taking my shower. After doing so, I then had made the bed that I had slept in. I then went into the kitchen so as to eat breakfast with my family. We had scrambled eggs, bacon, bagel and some fruit, along with my cup of hot chocolate. Once we had finished eating, I then had brushed my teeth before packing up my things. At 9:00 I then said good-bye to my sister who headed south to go home in the opposite direction in which we would soon be leaving. My parents and I were finally on our way at 10:00. Along the way, we had drove by Bear Pond in Turner to look at some condominiums that had just been built in a place a called Bear Pond Village. We then continued on our way. We had arrived home at 11:15. Once the car was unpacked and I had my things put away, I put on my gym shorts and a t-shirt so as to cycle for twenty minutes. At 12:00 I then returned to my bedroom to start in with the stretches that have helped me recovery during my most recent stroke. At 12:20 I then began to do my back stretches. At 1:00 I then had taken a shower, thus getting myself comfortable. At 1:30 I then layed down to rest. As I began to lay there, I had experienced this funny taste in my mouth, then I felt a littl sick to my stomach as though it was some type of seizure or aura. Kind of makes me wonder if the new medication that I am on is working. I then slept until 4:25 before waking. I then went into the kitchen so as to eat dinner. At 4:50 I then returned to my bedroom to pull up my blog so as to type of my day.

Going to Lewiston to spend time with family and friends
My Saturday morning began at 10:00 a.m. by going into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt while drinking my hot cocoa. At 10:25 I then had a pineapple muffin toasted. I then picked up the kitchen before started the dishwasher. At 10:34 I then went back to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth and shave. Once Ihad my bed made, I then began to do the stretches that have me during my stroke. At 11:03 I then did my back stretches before cycling for thirty minutes. At 11:45 I then packed to go spend the night at my Aunts house in Lelwiston with my parents and my sister so as to celebrate my aunts birthday. I then filled my empty pill containers before transpiring information from notepad to another for my notes. At 1:02 I then took a shower thus getting ready for the rest of my day. At 1:56 I then emptied the dishwasher before leaving for my aunts. We had arrived at 3:30. Once we were settled, my Aunt had opened her Birthday cards and gifts. I then pulled up my blog at 4:35 so as to type of my day, before enjoying time with family and friends.

Ice Fishig On Sabbattus Lake
My Friday morning began at 6:45 a.m. by going into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt, while drinking my hot cocoa. At 7:00 I then had a bowl of hot cereal with half of a toasted English muffin. Once I had finished eating, I then retunred to my bedroom at 7:09 so as to brush my teeth and shave. At 7:15 I then had changed the sheets on my bed, thus making it. At 7:36 I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my latest stroke. At 7:52 I then continued to stretch by doing my back stretches. At 8:00 I had brought my laundry to the laundry room so as to start a load of laundry. After doing so, I then had returned to my bedroom at 8:07 so as to take a shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 8:20 I had sat down to fill my empty pill containers. At 8:40 I then put the laundry into the dryer. I then folded some laundry that was in the dryer and put it away. Once I had put in my eye and nose drops, I then used my inhaler At 9:55 I then had put some laundry away. United Wheelchair had arrived shortly afterward. I finally arrived at WestSide at 1:00 Tobie then took me and another client to Sabbattus lake to go ice fishing. Along the way we had stopped at a bate shop to pick up some bate. We had met Ashly there, because it was her father who had an ice shack on the lake. Out of all the traps we had set, we caught one fish, the entire time we were there. That was with six traps. At 3:30 Tobie then took the other client and I back to WestSide so as to meet our rides. We had arrived at WestSide at 4:00. I then arrived home at 5:00. Once I had taken a shower, I then had eaten dinner. At 6:10 I then pulled up my blog and began to type of my day.

Working on a cross word puzzle during healthy brain group
My Thursday morning began at 4:40 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then began to do the stretches that have helped me during my latest stroke. At 5:03 I then began to do my back stretches. Once I was all loosened up, I then cycled for twenty minutes. At 5:40 I then returned to my bedroom so as to shave before taking my shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 6:00 I then went into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. Once I had eaten a blueberry muffin with half of a banana, I then retunred to my bedroom at 6:30 so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before using my inhaler. At 7:15 United Wheelchair had arrived to bring me to WestSide Neurorhab. Along the way we had to drop someone off at a doctors appointment. Upon my arrival at 9:00 I had met with Ashly for a rehab session. During this time, I had worked on a beeding project that I had started. At 10:00 I had gone to the conference room for healthy brains group. Today Ashly and Jamie had us answering riddles. We then did some word games before working on a cross word puzzle. At 11:00 during my rehab session with Jamie, I had worked on my project threading yarn in between the nails on the piece of wood that I had bought with her. At 12:00 I then had gone to the lobby so as to meet the United Wheelchair Driver who would be taking me home. At 12:30 we had gone to New Auburn along the way home so as to pick someone up. The G.P.S.had taken us into a snowy unplowed driveway, We had found out that it was a house all shut down and not lived in. When we tried to back up, we were stuck. Needless to say we had to call the dispatcher for United Wheelchair to send someone to pull us out. In doing so the side mirror on the drivers side glass was shattered from hitting a tree limb. I had finally arrived home at 2:30. The dispatcher had sent another available driver to pick up the client in New Auburn. It is a good thing or I would not have arrived home until 3:30 or later. Once I was comfortable, I had eaten my lunch. I then brushed my teeth before trying on clothing and packing to go Ice Fishing tomorrow. It is suppose to be a warmer then usual day, that Wshould make it all the more enjoyable. I then took a shower before calling my grandmother. At 4:10 I then pulled up my blog and began to type of my day.

Learning Sure Lining with Caitlyn
My Wednesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then preceded to do the stretches that I had learned so as to help me during my latest stoke recovery. At 5:20 I then preceded to stretch by doing my back stretches. At 5:35 I then cycled for twenty minutes before returning to my bedroom at 6:00 so as to shave and taken a shower. Once I was ready for the day ahead, I had gone into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. At 6:30 I then had an egg cup with half of a toasted english muffin. At 6:15 It then went back to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before taking in some air. Once Iwas ready for my day, I then sat down to wait for United Wheelchair to arrive. Upon my arrival to WestSide Neurorehab, I had sat in the lobby on the quieter side so as to wait to start my day. At 9:00 I then had made my way to Nancy’s office for visually impaired group. The other client in the group was letting me know how they are building a new apartment building across from hanaford in Auburn and that they are applying to live there. Nancy then let us know that the other visually impaired client and I were brought up and talked about in their meeting this week. Nancy said that she would bring in our service plans next week to talked about in group. At 10:55 I had stopped by Vicky’s office to chat. She is the intake coordinator at WestSide who I first saw the day of my admission to WestSide. I then went to an empty treatment room with Adam to play chess during our rehab session. At 10:45 we then played dominos. At 11:00 I then went to Priyadarshi’s office for mindfulness and meditation. Today we first talked about our week before doing a practice. At 12:00 I then went to the lobby so as to eat lunch. Once I had eaten my lunch, Caitlyn had arrived at 1:00. Today Caitlyn had brought me walking along Main Street in Lewiston on the sidewalks. WHILE doing so, she had taught me “Sure Lining.” This is where a visually impaired person uses their white to sweep from Side to side hittting the edges of the grass and curb while walking on a sidewalk. She then took me inside WestSide to do the same thing using the walls. She then informed Steven My casemangemer at WestSide that she would like to set up a meeting to talk with the people that I work with there along with she and I. At 2:15 Buzzy from United Wheelchair had taken me home. Upon my arrival home at 3:38, I had taken a shower, thus getting comfortable. I then sent Tim my case manager from the devision of the blind an email to let him know how me day lesson with Caitlyn went today. I then pulled up blog and began to type of my day.

Organizing paper into a binder with Tobie during Recreational Therapy
My Tuesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. Once I had my bed made, I then began to do the stretches that had helped me during my last stroke and still do to this day. After doing so, I then began to do my back stretches. Once Iwas loosened up, I then began to cycle. I did so for twenty minutes before returning to my bedroom at 5:50. Once I had shaved, I had taken a shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 6:10 I had made my way into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped in yogurt. Once I had finished eating my bowl of cereal with banana, I then returned to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before using my inhaler. At 7:00 a.m. United Wheelchair had arrived in my driveway to take me to WestSide Neurorehab. Upon my arrival at 8:45, I had gone to the client lounge to wait for thirty minutes before meeting with Priyadarshi. While waiting I had e-mailed Tim my case manager from the devision of the blind, so as to let him know how my first day working with the white cane went. At 9:15 Priyadarshi had come into the client lounge to let me know it was time meet. We had continued talking about my progress with the devision of the blind and how I began to learn how to use my white cane. We then talked about my doctors appointment with my neurologist yesterday. He let me know that it would be a good idea to bring in my new medications so that the nurse could have a copy too. At 9:55 I then went to the client lounge so as to wait to meet with Tobie for rec therapy. At 10:00 Tobie came the client lounge to get me. Her office is is five steps from the client lounge. Today Tobie had helped organize all my paper work into a binder that she had given to me with all of my papers with different sections for crafts, devision of the blind, rec therapy ect. At 11:00 I then went to the arts and crafts room for Expressive Arts. Today Cec had us gluing our pictures that we cut out of magazines to our board. I had cut out pictures of snow flakes and thing to do with winter. At 12:00 I then went to the lobby so as to meet the United Wheelchair driver who would be taking me home. I had arrived home at 1:15. Once I was comfortable, I had eaten my lunch. At 1:30 I then brushed my teeth before laying down to rest. I had slept until 4:12. Once I had taken a shower, I then went into the kitchen so as to eat dinner. Once I had finished eating, I then returned to my bedroom at 5:00 so as to type my blog entry for the day.

A Dr’s visit with my Neurologist
My Monday morning at my sisters began at 8:00 a.m. by waking so as to take my shower and get ready for the day before going downstairs to have a bowl of cereal and a piece of toast for breakfast. Once Ihad finished eating, I went back upstairs so as to brush my teeth before packing my things. At 9:30 I had brought my things to the car before going back inside to sit and wait. At 10:20 I then went with my mother to my neurologist office which is just twenty minutes from my sisters house. We had arrived at 10:20. Once inside I had checked in. The nurse then brought me into a room so as to take my weigh and blood pressure. She then went over my medications and had asked me if I had any falls since my last visit. I then meet with Dr. Selviteli. While talking with her, I had given her my List of dates that I had experienced seizures, auras, and headache. At the end of the visit, she had upped the dosage of medication that I was currently taking. She then asked me to have blood work done and scheduled an appointment for four months for my next visit. I then left the Doctor’s office at 11:50. We had stopped off in Auburn along the way so as to visit my Aunt at 12:38. She had made me a sandwich while I was there. My mother and I had left for home at 1:15. We then stopped off at Hanaford so that I could pick up my new medications. We had arrived home at 2:30. Once things were inside and the car was unpacked. I then unpacked my knapsack before cycling for twenty minutes. I then folded some laundry that had been hanging to dry. Once I had put it away, I then called Dr. Selviteli’s office on some questions that I had about my new medications. At 3:40 I then began to do the stretches that helped me in my stroke recovery. After doing so, I then did my back stretches. At 4:50 before taking a shower before eating dinner. At 5:40 I then pulled up my blog so as to type of my day.

Watching the Super Bowl
My Sunday morning began at 5:30 a,m. By making my bed. I then focuses on my stretching. At 6:00 I then shaved before taking a shower. I then put in my eye and nose drops before taking in some air. At 7:50 I then left the house with my father for Scarborough to watched the super bowl with my sister and mother who was already down there. We had stopped along the way to pick up some breakfast in Auburn. We had arrived at my sisters at 11:40. Once inside, I had brushed my teeth and layed down to rest. I had slept from 12:00-4:00. I then went downstairs at my sisters house so as to enjoy odderves before watching the Super Bowl with my family.

Packing to go to my sisters to spend the night tomorrow
My Saturday morning began at 9:00 a.m. by making my bed. I then went into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped into yogurt. While drinking my hot cocoa. At 11:15 I then packed some clothing to go to my sisters tomorrow to make going to my neurology appointment a shorter commute on Monday. At 11:30 I then took out my medications so as to fill my empty pill containers. At 12:00 I then watched Sunday mass on line. At 12:50 I then rested until 3:10 before waking. I then went into the kitchen so as to have a bowl of soup for lunch. At 3:12 I then spoke to my grandmother before making a craft with my craft sticks. At 4:54 I had taken a shower before eating dinner. I then returned to my bedroom so as to pull up my blog so as to type of my day.

Learning how to use my white Cain again during my orientation and mobility training time with Caitlyn
My Friday morning began at 8:15 a.m. by taking the sheets off of my bed. I then brought them and the rest of my dirty laundry to the laundry room so as to do my wash. Once I had a wash going, I then went back to the kitchen so as to eat some fruit dipped in yogurt while drinking my hot cocoa. At 8:45 I then toasted two slices of bread and made myself a banana sandwich. Once I had finished eating, I then went back to the laundry room so as to put the wash into the dryer. I then started another load of laundry . At 9:00 I then cycled for twenty minutes. At 9:20 I then went back to my bedroom so as to do the stretches that I had learned to help me recover form my stroke. At 9:30 I then had returned to the laundry room so as to fold the laundry in the dryer. I then put another load in the dryer before putting away the laundry I had folded. I then made my bed, thus putting on clean sheets. At 9:48 I then continued to stretch. At 9:56 I then started another wash before vacuuming my bedroom At 10:20 I then did my back stretches before folding some laundry that was in the dryer. Once I had put the laundry away. At 10:30 I then put laundry in the dryer before continuing to fold laundry and put it away. At 10:40 I then finished my back stretches in my bedroom. At 10:53 Ithen washed some dishes before returning to my bedroom so as to shave. At 11:22 I then folded some laundry in the dryer. Once it was put away, I then took a shower. Once I had my eye and nose drops in, I then took in some air. At 12:15 I then went to the kitchen so as to make myself a sandwich. Once I had finished eating, I then went to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then rested from 12:40-2:15. Caitlyn then called. See let me know that we would be going to the library during my Orientation and Mobility Training time with her, while using my white Cain for the first time since having my stroke. Catilyn had arrived at my house at 3:00. She first sat down with my parents and I to talk and explain to us what O&M training involves. She then shared with us a little bit of information about the Iris Network apartments. She was letting us know that I would be responsible for making my own breakfast and lunch, but they serve dinner at at night in a community room if you so chose to eat there. She and I then went to the library in town. While learning how to use my white cane again. Once in the library I worked on climbing stairs and how to use the cane to tap each step. We also worked on sweeping the cane while walking. We then looked at audio books and talked with the librarian. We then spoke about using and Uber. At 4:30 Caitlyn took me home. At 4:45 I had arrived home. She had given me my new white cane and thank her before stepping out of the car. Once inside I had taken a shower, before eating dinner. Once. Had finished eating, I then pulled up my blog and began to type of my day.
