Learning Sure Lining with Caitlyn

My Wednesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then preceded to do the stretches that I had learned so as to help me during my latest stoke recovery. At 5:20 I then preceded to stretch by doing my back stretches. At 5:35 I then cycled for twenty minutes before returning to my bedroom at 6:00 so as to shave and taken a shower. Once I was ready for the day ahead, I had gone into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit with fruit dip. At 6:30 I then had an egg cup with half of a toasted english muffin. At 6:15 It then went back to my bedroom so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before taking in some air. Once Iwas ready for my day, I then sat down to wait for United Wheelchair to arrive. Upon my arrival to WestSide Neurorehab, I had sat in the lobby on the quieter side so as to wait to start my day. At 9:00 I then had made my way to Nancy’s office for visually impaired group. The other client in the group was letting me know how they are building a new apartment building across from hanaford in Auburn and that they are applying to live there. Nancy then let us know that the other visually impaired client and I were brought up and talked about in their meeting this week. Nancy said that she would bring in our service plans next week to talked about in group. At 10:55 I had stopped by Vicky’s office to chat. She is the intake coordinator at WestSide who I first saw the day of my admission to WestSide. I then went to an empty treatment room with Adam to play chess during our rehab session. At 10:45 we then played dominos. At 11:00 I then went to Priyadarshi’s office for mindfulness and meditation. Today we first talked about our week before doing a practice. At 12:00 I then went to the lobby so as to eat lunch. Once I had eaten my lunch, Caitlyn had arrived at 1:00. Today Caitlyn had brought me walking along Main Street in Lewiston on the sidewalks. WHILE doing so, she had taught me “Sure Lining.” This is where a visually impaired person uses their white to sweep from Side to side hittting the edges of the grass and curb while walking on a sidewalk. She then took me inside WestSide to do the same thing using the walls. She then informed Steven My casemangemer at WestSide that she would like to set up a meeting to talk with the people that I work with there along with she and I. At 2:15 Buzzy from United Wheelchair had taken me home. Upon my arrival home at 3:38, I had taken a shower, thus getting comfortable. I then sent Tim my case manager from the devision of the blind an email to let him know how me day lesson with Caitlyn went today. I then pulled up blog and began to type of my day.
