Using my Peak Flow Meter
I began my morning on this Monday at 4:30 a.m. by stretching. Once I had finished my weight exercises, I then took my shower getting ready for the day ahead. At 6:00 I then went to the kitchen to eat a bowl of hot ceral for breakfast. It reminded me of the mornings I would go skiing. Once I had finished eating I then went to my bathroom to brush my teeth. Once I had my bathroom cleaned up I then sat in my recliner at 7:15 to rest while waiting for united Wheelchair to pick me up. At 8:00 my ride soon arrived. Upon my arrivel to WestSide for 9:00 a.m. I began my theropy with my P.T. session with Amanda. Amanda first had me riding the new equptment they had just received called the Nu Step for twenty minutes, without my brace on. Amanda then had me walking in the parallel bars. At 10:00 during my half hour break, I went into the room across from the gym to rest. At 10:30 during my speech session with Diana, we talked about using the peak flow meter the doctor had given to me and to keep track of the readings. She wants me to take three readings at one time and to take the highest one. She would like me to make a flo chart. At 11:00 I had lunch in the luch room while some other clients were in the kitchen doing a meal prep. Once I finished my lunch at 11:30 I meet with Deb. We talked about things. Concerns I have about WestSide, and my thoughts about moving when it comes time to get back out on my own again. At 12:00 I meet with my case manager Piper for a fifteen minute session. After briefly discussing how my theropy is going at WestSide, I then went home. I arrived home at 1:30 thus going straight to bed. I had slept until 4:00 before getting up to stretch, and do my weight exercises. At 4:45 I then took my shower and cleaned up before eating dinner. At 5:40 I then called my friend Tim. He himself is going through a rough time. He had just had a pace maker put in. He is also visually impaired. Once off the phone with Tim, I sat down to blog.
