Learning breathing exercises during speech with Carina
I began my Monday morning at 6:00 a.m. by stretching. I then made my way out into the kitchen to eat my breakfast. My mother had made me an agg sandwhich. Once I had finished with my breadfast, I then made my way back to my bedroom to brush my teeth. Once I had done so, I the proceeded to do my upper weight exercises. I did not do my leg weight exercises do to the fall I had over the weekend. At 7:00 I then took my shower, thus getting ready for my day ahead. Once I had cleaned my bathroom, I then sat down to write my daily WestSide schedule in my note pad. I then took an air flo reading: 450, 460, 450. John from United WheelChair arrived at 8:00 a.m. to transport me to WestSide. Upon my arrivel for 9:00, I went to the kitchen to put my lunch in the refrigerator. While down in the kitchen, I sat down to do my tension I.D. exercises while waiting to go to P.T. for 10:00 a.m. At 9:55 I made my way to the gym. Being on the same level as the kitchen it was a hop skip and a jump away. I had first told Dan I had fallen over the weekend and was in a little pain. Dan then gave me the option of doing a cognitive task opposed to exercising. So we went into an empty room and Dan had asked me questions from a book of brain teasers. At 11:00 I then went to the lobby to do my speech exercises, while waiting for my appointment with Piper at 11:15. During my case management session with Piper, she had asked me if I had any questions or concerns of my programing at WestSide at this time. I responded, No. We then spoke briedfly of other things before she let me go. At 11:30 I then had a Support Session with Deb. After discussing my weekly occurances with Deb, I then went to eat lunch in the kitchen with Paul, Tim, Mark, Dan, Sue, Rem, And Lori. Once I had finished eating At 12:30 I then made my way upstairs for my speech session with Carina. Carina now has me just thinking of the areas of my body and being aware. If I find that I think it is tight then proceed to do the exercise for that part of the body, but otherwise skip it and move on. She then introdued me to breathing exercises. Inhaling and exhaling. At 1:00 I then went home on United. I arrived home at 2:30. Once inside, I went straight to bed. I was so tired, I had slept until 4:10 before getting up. I then went out into the kitchen to eat B.B.Q. chichen, scolloped potatos and beats for dinner. I then went to my bedroom to blog.
