Working on balance during P.T.
I began my Thursday morning at 6:00 a.m. by making my way into the kitchen to eat homefries and oatmeal for breakfast. Once I had finished eating, I then made my way back to my bedroom to begin my daily stretching. At 7:00 I then took an air flo reading: 440, 420, 470. I then got down on the floor and strapped the ankle weights on and began to do my leg lifts. I then went downstairs to ride for thirty minutes. I then went back upstairs to my bedroom to take a shower and get ready for my day ahead. At 8:30 I then went downstairs to fold laundry that was dry. At 8:00 I then started another load of laundry before putting the dry laundry away. At 8:40 I then hung that load to dry before leaving on United Wheelchair to go to WestSide. Upon my arrivel, I had my 10:30 appointment with Dr. Brian Ablitz. Together we through ideas around of where I would like to live, Once I get ready to move out on my own again. At 11:00 I then had my P.T. session with Dan. Before beginning to exercise Dan took my resting heart rate. 110 over 80. I then rode the Nu Step for fifteen minutes. I went .90 miles, burning .75 calories, Dan then took my working heart rate: 118 over 78. At 11:25 Dan then had me in the parallel bars working on balance. With my feet close together and arms crossed I was able to stand still without losing my balance for one minute and ten seconds. With right foot in front of left foot and arms crossed I was able to stand fifty seconds without losing my balance. Dan then had me stepping up on a platform. I did 23 times stepping to the left. 16 times alternate step forward approach left and 27 times with right foot. Once I was done with P.T. I then went to the dining area to eat my lunch at 12:00. Once I had finished eating I then went to the lobby to wait for United to take me home. I arrived home at 2;20. Once Inside I started a load of laundry thus washing my sweat suits. At 2:45 I then rode the swin air dine for thirty minutes while the wash was going. At 3:15 I then hung the laundry to dry. At 3:30 I then did my leg exercises with weights. Once I had finished stretching, I then took my shower before sitting down to blog at 5:00. I then took an air flo reading: 460, 480, 430
