Talking about having an O.T. Assessment with Nancy.
My Wednesday morning began at 5:00 a.m. Once I had made my bed, I then began to do the stretches that have been helping me each morning since having my last strok. At 5:23 I then began to do my back stretches. Once had worked my upper body I then made my way to the fitness room down the hallway. At 5:50 I then began to cycle and did so for twenty minutes. At 6:10 I then held a calf stretch for five minutes before grabbing the ten pound bar to do some weight exercises. Once I had used the chest press, I then returned to my apartment to have a bowl of cereal with half english muffin and some fruit. Once my kitchen was picked up and my dishes were washed, I then brushed my teeth and shaved. At 6:53 I then took my shower continuing to get ready for the day ahead. At 7:50 my father had called. We spoke briefly, I then put heat and ice on my back. I then grabbed my knapsack and went to the lobby so as to catch my ride. Upon my arrival to WestSide Neurorehabilitation for 9:00 I had gone to Nancy’s office for visually impaired group. Today she and I spoke about having an Occupational Therapy Assessment and coming up with some goals to work on. something I was yet to have since moving out on my own. We spoke about how to use my stove and oven top in my apartment. Also spoke about contacting Tim to ask about receiving vision rehab services. At 10:00 I saw Priyadarshi for my rehab session in place of Jamie who is no longer working for WestSide. Today we walked around The back side of WestSide making a loop. When we returned we looked over my doctors summary from appointment yesterday. I then took a quick break before returning to Priyadarshi’s office for mindfulness and meditation. Today we focused on the headache that I was having and how to decrease the pain through medication and breathing. At 12:00 during my case management session with Steven, I had signed release forms giving WestSide permission to speak to my parents, sister, and doctors. We then spoke about getting in touch with Tim so that I can start relieving vision rehab services. At 12:15 I then went to the lobby so as to meet the United Wheelchair driver who would be taking me back to Schooner Estates. Upon my arrival I had gone strait to the village green to eat my lunch. I then went back to my apartment at 1:10. Once I had brushed my teeth, I then lied down to rest. I had slept from 1:24-4:30. I then walked around schooner before going back to my apartment so as to pull up my blog and type of my day.
