Cutting slits in my t shirt during rec therapy
My Tuesday morning began at 4:30 a.m. by getting out of bed so as to focus my energy on my stretching, that has helped in my stroke recovery. Once I was loosened up, I then grabbed my weights so as to do my first set of weight exercises. Once I had completed the routine I then began to do my back stretches. At 5:15 I the ended my workout with my second set of weight exercises. At 5:20 I then had completed my workout. Once I had shaved, I then had taken my shower, thus getting ready for the day ahead. At 5:45 I then put in my eye and nose drops before going into the main camp at 5:47. Once I had eaten some fruit with fruit dip, I then had a bowl of cereal with a half of a toasted bagel. At 6:10 I then retunred to my camp so as to brush my teeth and take in some air. At 6:30 I then watched the news At 7:15 Calvin had arrived from United Wheelchair to bring me to WestSide. Neuro Rehabinitaion. I had arrived at WestSide at 8:30. I had sat in the lobby for fourty-five minutes before meeting with Priyadarshi for counsiling. One we had finished talking about certain issues going on in my life right now, I then went to an empty treatment room for my recreational therapy session with Tobie. Today we continued to reminders in my reminders app, reminding me to water my plants at camp. Tobie and I continued to cut one of my t-shirts that I had brought in so as to make a pillow. We had cut slits in the bottom of the t-shirt so as to tie up once it was stuffed. At 11:00 I then went into the craft room for expressive arts. Today Michelle had us working on our project with canvas. I am putting the state of Maine on my canvas so as to hang in my camp. At 12:00 I had met Calvin in the lobby so that he could bring me home. We had stopped to get gas along the way. I had arrived at camp at 1:30. I had gone strait into my camp so as to change into more comfortable clothing before eating lunch. Once I had done so, I then I had gone back into my camp to try on some new shorts my father had picked up for me. I then brushed my teeth before laying down to rest at 2:20. I had slept until 4:00 before taking a shower. Ithen went into the main camp To eat. While doing so we had lost the power do to a thunder storm that we were having. Once I had finished eating, I then went back into my camp so as to listen to my audio book while putting information into a new note pad that I keep in my back pocket. I then listened to my audio book while waiting for the power to come back on. I then pulled up my blog so as to type of my day.

My first scheduled check up with my nerologist since my stay in the hospital in April
My Monday morning beagan at 6:00 a.m. by taking a shaving and taking a shower. After doing so, I then put in my eye and nose drops before going downstairs so as to eat breakfast. I had spent the night at my sisters house in Scarborough with my parents. My neurologist office is in Scarborough and I had an appointment this morning. Once I had finished eating, I then went back upstairs so as to brush my teeth. I then took in some air before packing up my knapsack. At 8:00 I then sat down to wait. My mother and I left my sisters at 9:07 for Doctor Selvitelies. Upon our arrival at 9:26 we had gone into the office. The receptionist had asked me some questions being I was taken into a room. The Nurse then asked me some questions about my medications. I the saw Dr. Selviteli. She was letting me know that two to three more seizure drugs have come out since I was in the hospital in April. She then gave me an exam and asked me how I was doing. At 10:40 we had left the doctors office. We had stopped at write aid so as to pick up my grandmother a birthday card. We had left Write aid at 11:06.At 11:15 we had returned to my sisters. At 11:30 I then left my sisters with my parents for home. W had made a couple of stops along the way before arriving home at 2:26. Once the car was unpacked I had taken a shower before leaving for camp at 3:10. We had arrived at camp 3:35. Once Inside my camp I had unpacked my things before siting down to fill my empty pill containers for the week ahead. I then called United Wheelchair at to see what time my pick up will be tomorrow morning. I then made my move in words with friends before pulling up my blog.

Shopping for shorts
My Sunday morning began at 6:00 a..m. Once my feet were on the floor, I then made my bed. At 6:10 Ithen began to do the stretching exercises that have been helpin in my stroke recovery. At 6:20 I then preceded to do my back stretches. I was unable to do my weight exercises because they were at camp and we had spent the night last night at home. At 6:30 I had shaved before taking my shower. I then put in my eye and nose drops before going into the kitchen so as to eat some fruit before having a bowl of cereal with a piece of toast. I then brushed my teeth before leaving with my parents for Scarbough. We had arrived at my sisters at 10:22. My sister was visiting a friend in Massachusetts. Once then car was unpacked, I then had taken a ride to the mall with my father to try to buy some shorts. I could not find any in my size so we had gone to another store. At 12:08 We had left the mall. At 12:15 my father and I had gone to Sebago so as to eat lunch. Once we had finished eating we had left the restaraunt at 12:55. We had arrived back at my sisters at 1:30. I then went into the room that. Would be sleeping in tonight so as to rest. I had slept from 1:30-4:30. I then pulled up my blog and began to type of my day.

Writing up an article on the balloon festival.
My Saturday morning began at 9:30 a.m. by going into the main camp so as to eat some fruit while drinking my hot cocoa while watching the Beach to Beacon on line. I had run in the 10k event the prior to having my stroke. I glad I was able to at least once. I have set goals for myself, but I am not there yet. Once I had finished eating breakfast I then went back into my camp so as to brush my teeth and shave. At 10:48. I then changed the sheets on my bed thus making it. After doing so, I then brushed my teeth. I then took in some air before putting in my eye and nose drops. I then filled my pill containers for the week. At 11:15 i hadbegan to do my stretching that has helped in my stroke recovery. At 10:30 I then did my first set of weight exercises working my upper body. At 11:35 I then did my back stretes. At 11:45 I had done another set of my weight exercises. AT 11:53 I then went into the main camp so as to wash the mouth piece to my flow vent and my inhaler. At 12:00 I then went back into my camp so as pack some things to take home. At 12:45 I had listened to my audio book for twenty-five minutes before putting some clean laundry away. At 1:20 I then put my things in the car. At 1:30 I then left for home with my mother. We had arrived home at 2:05. Once Iwas unpacked I had eaten lunch. At 2:35 Then brushed my teeth before sitting down to write an article on the annual balloon festival for the news letter that goes out each month at WestSide Neuro rehab. Once I had emailed to Jessica the therapist that heads up the newsletter, I then Watched Sunday Mass. At 5:00 I then took a shower before going with my father to the shop so that he could give me a haircut. We had arrived back home at 6:30. I then pulled up my blog and typed of my day.

My three month doctor visit for my asthma checkup
My Friday morning began at 9:00 a.m. by going into the main camp so as to eat some fruit while drinking my hot cocao. I then toasted myself half of a bagel to go along with my bowl of cereal. Once I had finished eating, I had picked up the kitchen in the main camp. I then filled my water bottle with Ice before returning my camp. At 9:50 I then made my bed before brushing my teeth. At 10:00 I then shaved. Once I was ready for the day, I then before to stretch. Once I had finished the stretches that have been helping in my stroke recovery, I then worked my upper body, by doing my first set of weigh exercises. At 10:25 I then did my backed exercises before doing my second set of weight exercises. I had finished my workout at 10:42. Ithen made my move in words with friends. At 10:50 I then shaved before taking my shower. At 11:15 I then put in my eye and nose drops befor etaking in some air. At 11:30 I then back into the main camp so as to wash the mouth piece to my air flow vent and my inhaler tube the medication goes into when I use it. At 12:00 I then had eaten my lunch quickly before leaving camp with my mother who just arrived home from work. She had brought me to a doctors appointment that I had scheduled with my Primary Care Doctor. Upon my arrival for 1:00 p.m. for my three month check up of my asthma, nurse terry took me in and took my weight, blood pressure and temperature. She then asked me questions about my health and well being. Once the routine check was finished, I then met with Dr. Seally. Once I had finished talking to her in reguards to my asthma, she then gave different instruction on how to use my inhaler. My Flovent inhaler I have to take two puffs a.m. and p.m. My pro air albuterol sulfate in haler use just as needed during the day. When short of breath or catch myslf weazing. After my doctors appointment, I then We were back on the road back to camp at 1:45. Upon our arrival to camp at 2:15 I had settled in and soon found myslf laying down to rest. I had slept from 2:20-4:30. I then went into the main camp to eat dinner. After doing so, I had gone back into my camp so as to take a shower before pulling up my blog. Ithen soon called it a day.

My appointment at Pine Tree Orthopedic Lab
My Thursday morning began at 4:40 a.m. by making my bed. After doing so, I then preceded to do my stretching that has been helping me in my stroke recovery. At 5:05 I then grabbed my weights and began to work my upper body. At 5:10 I then did my back exercises before doing one my set of my weight exercises. At 5:30 I had shaved before taking my shower. At 6:15 I then made my way into the main camp so as to drink my hot cocoa while eating some fruit with fruit dip. I then had scrambled eggs with a piece of toast. At 6:45 I had retunred to my camp so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops befor taking in some air. At 7:15 Dan from United Wheelchair had picked me up to bring me to WestSide Neuro rehab. Upon my arrival, I had told Kala who was covering at the front desk, that I had a neurological appointment Monday and that I would not be in. I then asked Kala if Nancy was free. I wanted to talk to her about my meeting with Tim the guy from the devision of the blind. I had then gone into Nancy’s office to let her know of my options. 1. To work one hour per week with a mobility specialist at home or 2. To spend three months intense training at the Iris Network in the Conversion Center. She had asked if I had decided yet, and I replied, “No I am still mauling it over.” I then went into a treatment room to wait for Kala. During our rehab session today we had completed editing chapter two. At 11:00 during my rehab session with Jamie we had first played a couple of games of mancola before a game of chess. At 12:00 I then met Dan in the lobby. He had taken me back to camp. At 1:35 I had arrived at camp. I had quickly taken a shower thus getting ready to go to Pine Tree Orthopedics to buy a new pair of sneakers. I have been having my sneakers custom made for years. The guy doing it retired and sold his business, so now I have a new outlet. The sneakers seem to be comfortable so far. I had left camp with my mother at 1:55. We had arrived at Pine Tree Orthopedic Lab in Jay at 2:30. Once I had the paper work filled out so that it could be kept on file, Micheal then fitted me for a pair of orthopedic shoes. He then said to try them out for a month, if they do not work we will custom make you a pair. We then left for camp at 3:30. On our way home we had made a couple stops before arriving at camp at 4:30. Once inside my camp I had called United Wheelchair so as to cancelle my transportation for Monday. I then pulled up my blog and began to type in todays entry.

Getting down to business with Tim
My Wednesday morning began at at 4:50 a.m. by getting up so as to make my bed. After doing so, I then began to do my stretches that have been helping me in my stroke recovery. At 5:10 I then preceded with my workout with my upper body weight exercises. At 5:17 I then did my back exercises before doing another set of my weight exercises. At 5:40 I then shaved before taking my shower. Once I was ready I then went into the main camp so as to eat some fruit. After doing so, I had eaten a toasted bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Once I had finished eating I then picked up and washed the dishes. At 7:30 I then went into the my camp so as to brush my teeth. I then put in my eye and nose drops before taking in some air. At 7:30 United Wheelchair had shown up to bring me to WestSide Neuro Rehab. Upon my arrival for 9:00 I made my way to Nancy’s office for visually impaired group. Today I spoke about my upcoming meeting this afternoon and what I want to address with Tim. We then spoke about the progress the other client was making getting around in her new community. We then spoke about the adaptive outdoor education center at Sugar Loaf. Google Adaptive Outdoor Educatation. At 10:00 during my rehab session with Michelle I had put the introduction to my book in the book. I then looked on facebook. At 11:00 during mindfulness and meditation group w had first talked then got right into our meditation. At 12:00 I then had gone outside to eat my lunch with another client from the visually impaired group. I then went inside to brush my teeth before meeting Tim in the lobby. He had brought me over to the career center down the street. During our meeting today Tim had me first finish my paper work so as to get things started. We then talked about the medical information she had to get ahold off from my eye doctor, pcp, and WestSide. He then told me the options I had. 1. To work with a vision rehab specialist one day per week or 2. With a mor intense option going to the Iris Network in the emergence center for a twelve week program. I said I’d let him know next week. At 2:00 I had left WestSide. Ihad arrived at camp at 3:30. I had gone into my camp so as to take a shower before pulling up my blog.
